Video game e-tailer EBgames.com has pre-sold out of Xbox 360 bundles. The online division of EB Games previously offered the Xbox 360 Core Bundle at $599.93 and the Xbox 360 Ultimate Bundle at $699.92.
Several retailers, including EB Games' parent company GameStop, are still taking pre-orders for launch quantities of the Xbox 360. Most online retailers have been pre-selling the console in bundle configurations that include games and accessories. Wholesale retailer Costco recently offered a discounted Xbox 360 bundle for under $500. The Xbox 360 is expected to be a hot holiday item as consumers purchase into the next-generation of video game systems. The successor to the Xbox includes a custom IBM three-core processor and a custom ATI graphics card. Microsoft has contracted three factories located in Southern China to manufacture an estimated 1-2 million Xbox 360 units for a global launch in North America, Europe, and Japan. The Xbox 360 will launch in North America on November 22nd.
