Media Create Co. this month said Nintendo Co. Ltd.’s Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon for the Nintendo 3DS ranked in the top three software sales in the latest retail data from Japan.

Between Dec. 11 and Dec. 17, Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon sold 119,005 units to rank No. 3 in the period. The title has sold 1.169 million units in the region to date.

In an untold story from the new release, legendary Pokémon Necrozma has transformed into Dusk Mane Necrozma, who took over Solgaleo, and Dawn Wings Necrozma, who took over Lunala.

The title includes added customization options and Rockruff special evolution to Lycanroc.

Pokémon Sun and Moon includes a new world, new Pokémon, and new adventures. Starter Pokémon include Rowlet, Litten, and Popplio.

Pokémon Bank functionality allows users to transfer Pokémon from Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console versions of Pokémon Red, Pokémon Blue, and Pokémon Yellow into Pokémon Sun and Moon.

Finally, the title allows users to choose from nine languages, including English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, Traditional and Simplified Chinese.

It sells at $39.99.
