Sales for Sony Corp.’s Playstation 4 ranked as the No. 2 hardware in Japan in the latest data from the region.

Media Create Co. this month reported the PS4 sold 28,823 units between Oct. 30 to Nov. 5 to rank No. 2 in overall hardware sales.

The hardware sold 24,653 units the week prior.

Call of Duty WWII ranked as the No. 1 software for the week selling 168,324 units at launch.

Sony this week said it will price cut the Playstation 4 1TB and the Playstation VR Black Friday Week.

Between Nov. 19 and Nov. 27, customers can purchase the PS4 1TB SKU at $199.99 and the Playstation VR at $299.99.

In addition, the Dualshock 4 Controller will be price cut to $39.99.

Finally, the Playstation Store Black Friday Sale will be held Nov. 21 to Nov. 28.

Sony this week said it will sell the Playstation VR Skyrim VR Bundle for the Playstation 4 Nov. 17.

The new bundle will include the Playstation VR headset, Playstation Camera, two Playstation Move controllers, and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim VR at $449.99.

Sony this week released Horizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds for the Playstation 4.

The Frozen Wilds is a DLC expansion that includes a new area to explore, new mysteries and new enemies to conquer.

Tecmo Koei Corp. this week released Nioh: Complete Edition to the Playstation 4.

The Complete Edition includes all DLC enhanced graphical modes.

Sales for the PS Vita ranked as the No. 4 video game hardware in Japan in the latest retail data from the region.

Media Create Co. this week said the PS Vita sold 3,576 units between Oct. 30 and Nov. 5 rank as the No. 4 hardware for the week.

It sold 3,705 units the week prior.

Sales for Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox One hardware ranked at No. 7 in Japan in the latest retail data from the region.

Media Create Co. this month reported that the Xbox One sold 114 units between Oct. 30 to Nov. 5 to rank No. 7 in overall sales.

It sold 97 units the week prior.

Microsoft Corp. this week released the Xbox One X to retail.

The Xbox One X includes eight cores, 6 TFlop capability, 12GB GDDR5 memory, 326GB per second bandwidth, 40 compute units at 1172Mhz, 1TB hard drive, 4K UHD Blu-ray disc drive, and backwards compatibility to Xbox One games and hardware.

It sells at $499.99.

Microsoft this week released the Xbox One X Trailer for Halo 5: Guardians.

The trailer notes 4K resolution, 60 frames-per-second graphics and faster load times.

The final game includes vehicle performance and visual customization.


Sega Corp. this week released Sonic Forces.

Sonic Forces is an action platform title to include 3D and 2D action.

The final game includes Classic Sonic, Modern Sonic, and the Custom Hero.

Sales for Nintendo Co. Ltd.’s Nintendo Switch hardware ranked No. 1 in Japan in the latest sales data for the region.

Media Create Co. this month reported that the Nintendo Switch sold 64,387 units between Oct. 30 and Nov. 5 to rank as the No. 1 hardware for the week.

It sold 126,701 units the week prior.

Super Mario Odyssey ranked as the No. 2 software selling 116,931 units for the week.

Nintendo this week detailed Xenoblade Chronicles 2 for Nintendo Switch.

The final release will include Japanese audio and English subtitles in a free DLC download.

In addition, an Expansion Pass will be sold at $29.99 to include all released DLC, from an additional adventure with a new side story to a challenge Battle Mode.

Nintendo this week released the Xenoblade Chronicles 2 update to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Explorer’s Edition for the Nintendo Switch.

The free update adds a new side quest to obtain the Rex costume from Xenoblade Chronicles 2 for Link.

Nintendo this week released Snipperclips Plus – Cut it out, together! for the Nintendo Switch.

Snipperclips Plus – Cut it out, together! is an expanded version of the original that will include new comic book and toy box worlds, three new activities, and a new stamp mode.

Bethesda Softworks this week released DOOM for the Nintendo Switch.

The Nintendo Switch version includes the full 2016 release and online multiplayer functionality.


The final game includes Arcade Mode to battle with all upgrades and Runes, and Multiplayer to battle in 12 modes with all DLC content.

Media Create Co. this month said the Nintendo 3DS sold 20,856 units between Oct. 30 and Nov. 5 to rank as the No. 3 game hardware for the week.

The hardware sold 17,283 units the week prior.

Style Savvy: Styling Star ranked as the No. 3 software selling 32,176 units for the week.

Nintendo this week released the Mario Party: The Top 100 for the Nintendo 3DS.

Mario Party: The Top 100 includes the top 100 mini-games from the Mario Party franchise.

The final game allows Download Play for 4 players with 1 Game Card.
