Nintendo Co. Ltd. this week said Super Mario Odyssey for the Nintendo has sold 1.1 million units in the U.S.
The title is the fastest-selling Super Mario game ever in the U.S., beating sales of New Super Mario Bros. Wii.
The title, released Oct. 27, ranked as the No. 1 best-selling download software at the Nintendo eShop in the same period.
Locations include a metropolitan city, forest and a food-based world.
A new ally, Cappy, allows Mario to inhabit different characters in the game. In addition, a second player can control Cappy for local co-op functionality.
It sells at $59.99.
