Nintendo Co. Ltd.’s Super Nintendo Entertainment System Classic Edition held a solid quantities in a retail stock check prior to release.
According to online stock check websites, Target Corp. stores in the Southern California area held between 70 to 100-plus units per store.
Nintendo in Sept. said it will ship more units of the SNES Classic at launch than the number of NES Classic units shipped all last year.
In addition, the product will ship through 2018. Production was scheduled to cease at the end of the calendar year.
Classic titles include Contra III: The Alien Wars, Donkey Kong Country, Earthbound, Final Fantasy III, F-ZERO, Kirby Super Star, Kirby’s Dream Course, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, Mega Man X, Secret of Mana, Star Fox, Star Fox 2, Street Fighter II Turbo: Hyper Fighting, Super Castlevania IV, Super Ghouls ‘n Ghosts, Super Mario Kart, Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars, Super Mario World, Super Metroid, Super Punch-Out!!, and Yoshi’s Island.
It will be sold Sept. 29.
