Sales for Sony Corp.’s Playstation 4 ranked as the No. 1 hardware in Japan in the latest data from the region.
Media Create Co. this month reported the PS4 sold 26,384 units between Aug. 28 to Sept. 3 to rank No. 1 in overall hardware sales.
The hardware sold 24,658 units the week prior.
Everybody’s Golf ranked as the No. 1 software for the week selling 100,719 units for the week.
Activision Blizzard Inc. this week released Destiny 2 to U.S. retail.
Destiny 2 includes a new story campaign, co-op gameplay, and competitive multiplayer functionality.
The final game includes new weapons and combat abilities.
Rockstar Games this week said it will release L.A. Noire Nov. 14.
L.A. Noire for the PS4 and Xbox One the full base game, all download content, increased visual fidelity, enhanced graphics, new camera angles and 1080p resolution. The title will support 4K resolution on the Playstation 4 Pro and the Xbox One X.
Sony this week released Playstation 4, Playstation 3 and PS Vita titles for Playstation Plus members to the Playstation Network division for Sept. 2017.
PS Plus titles include Infamous: Second Son (PS4), Strike Vector Ex (PS4), Truck Racer (PS3), Handball 2016 (PS3), We Are Doomed (PS Vita) and Hatoful Boyfriend (PS Vita).

The final is sold in physical and digital format, and includes Japanese audio and English text.

Microsoft Corp. this week released the Commercial Trailer for Forza Motorsport 7 for Xbox One, Xbox One X and the PC.
The trailer includes live-action vehicles and in-game gameplay.
Forza Motorsport 7, to be sold Oct. 3, will include more than 700 vehicles, 4K textures at 60 frames-per-second on Xbox One X.
The final game will include more than 30 environments.
Warner Bros Entertainment Inc. this week released the Dark Tribe Trailer for Middle-earth: Shadow of War.
The trailer previews soldiers from the Dark Tribe.
Middle-earth: Shadow of War, to be sold Oct 10, is the sequel to Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor.
Capcom Co. Ltd. this week said Resident Evil 7 Gold Edition for Sony Corp.’s PlayStation 4, Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox One and the PC Dec. 12.
Resident Evil 7 Gold Edition will include the base game, Banned Footage Vol. 1, Banned Footage Vol. 2, and the future End of Zoe DLC.
In End of Zoe, users discover the fate of Zoe in new areas and against new enemies. For current Resident Evil 7 owners the DLC will be sold separately at $14.99.
Finally, the Not a Hero DLC will include Chris Redfield as a member of New Umbrella to counter the latest outbreak in plantation dungeons. It will released at no cost to all users.
End of Zoe and Not a Hero will be released Dec. 12.
Ubisoft Inc. this week released the Operation Blood Orchid Trailer for Rainbow Six Siege.
The trailer previews the Operation Blood Orchid update, which includes two new operatives and new map Theme Park.

Capcom Co. Ltd. this week said it will release Resident Evil Revelations and Resident Evil Revelations 2 for the Nintendo Switch Nov. 28.
The Nintendo Switch version will include Joy-Con motion controls, HD Rumble compatibility and Raid Mode local co-op functionality.
The 26GB file size, which exceeds the free internal memory storage, would require users to utilize a microSDXC card to download the full game.

Monster Hunter Stories is an introduction to the RPG franchise that includes turn-based battles, a rock-paper-scissors combat system, monster team customization, side quests, and amiibo functionality.
Arc System Works this week released Double Dragon IV for the Nintendo Switch to the Nintendo eShop.
Double Dragon IV is a side-scrolling beat-em-up title that includes two-player co-op and retro graphics.
The final game includes a Story Mode, 2P Duel Mode, and Tower Mode. It can be played in TV Mode, Tabletop Mode, and Handheld Mode.
