Sales for Sony Corp.’s Playstation 4 ranked as the No. 2 hardware in Japan in the latest data from the region.

Media Create Co. this month reported the PS4 sold 93,356 units between July 24 to July 30 to rank No. 2 in overall hardware sales.

The PS4 Pro sold 10,988 in the same period.

The hardware sold 30,878 units the week prior.

Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age ranked as the No. 2 software for the week selling 950,315 units for the week.

Sony this week released The Making of Video Trailer for Uncharted: The Lost Legacy for the Playstation 4.

The trailer features developer commentary for the latest entry in the franchise.

The title, to be sold Aug. 22, will take place in India six to 12 months after the events of Uncharted 4. The title will include expanded level design for trademark traversal challenges and new weaponry including the Silenced Pistol.

Sega Corp. this week detailed free DLC for Yakuza Kiwami for the Playstation 4.

Free DLC, to be released through Sept, includes the Kiwami Fun Pack (Sept. 5), Kiwami Street Pack (Sept. 12), Kiwami Fun Pack 2 (Sept. 19), Kiwami Street Pack 2 (Sept. 29).

The DLC will be automatically patched into the game and can be obtained from Bob Utsunomiya, the clown located underneath the Tenkaichi Street Gate.

Sony this week said the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy for the Playstation 4 ranked as the top download at the Playstation Network in July 2017 data.

In July, Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy ranked as the No. 1 PS4 digital download software in the PSN division.

Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy includes Crash Bandicoot, Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back and Crash Bandicoot: Warped remastered in HD.

Sony this week said Square Enix Holdings Co. Ltd.’s Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age for the Playstation 4 ranked in the top 15 downloads in the Playstation Network division in July 2017 data.

In July, Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age ranked as the No. 11 PS4 PSN digital download software for the month.

The title is a high-definition remaster of the classic RPG and will include reconstructed battle design and a revamped job system.

Sales for the PS Vita ranked as the No. 4 video game hardware in Japan in the latest retail data from the region.

Media Create Co. this week said the PS Vita sold 4,967 units between July 24 and July 30 rank as the No. 4 hardware for the week.

It sold 4,545 units the week prior.

Minecraft: PS Vita Edition ranked as the No. 16 software selling 3,867 units for the week.

Sales for Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox One hardware ranked at No. 7 in Japan in the latest retail data from the region.

Media Create Co. this month reported that the Xbox One sold 94 units between July 24 to July 30 to rank No. 7 in overall sales.

It sold 77 units the week prior.

Microsoft this week added new game titles to the Xbox Game Pass.

New titles include Dead Rising 3, Limbo, DiRT Rally, Ultratron, So Many Me, Metal Slug XX, and Pharaonic.

Xbox Game Pass is a new subscription service to download Xbox One and Xbox 360 titles at $9.99 per month.

Microsoft and Taco Bell this week said they will partner to offer the chance to win a new Xbox One X.

Between Aug. 31 and Oct. 4, customers who purchase the Steak Quesarito box at Taco Bell will receive a code for consumers to text to win an Xbox One X.

The Xbox One X, the next hardware in the Xbox One console division, will be sold Nov. 7.

Capcom Co. Ltd. this week said it will release Resident Evil Revelations for the Playstation 4 and the Xbox One Aug. 29.

The title will include 1080p resolution and all DLC at $19.99.

Bungie Inc. this month released the Killer-Tracker Ghost Pre-order Trailer for Destiny 2.

The trailer previews the Killer-Tracker Ghost, a Playstation Store and Xbox Store pre-order bonus item that tracks kills in the final game.

Destiny 2 will include a new story campaign, co-op gameplay, and competitive multiplayer functionality.

Microsoft this week said the Regalia vehicle from Square Enix Holdings Co. Ltd.’s Final Fantasy XV is now available for Forza Horizon 3 for the Xbox One.

Customers who have played Forza Horizon 3 and / or Final Fantasy XV on the Xbox One or PC by Aug. 1 will receive a code to download the vehicle.

EA Inc. this week released the FUT ICONS Stories Trailer for FIFA 18.

The trailer previews FUT ICONS Stories to play as soccer legends including Ronaldinho, Ronaldo Nazario, Maradona, and Pelé at three periods of their career.

FIFA 18, to be sold Sept. 28, will utilize the Frostbite engine and feature Christiano Ronaldo, all-time scorer for Real Madrid C.F.

Sales for Nintendo Co. Ltd.’s Nintendo Switch hardware ranked No. 3 in Japan in the latest sales data for the region.

Media Create Co. this month reported that the Nintendo Switch sold 89,314 units between July 24 and July 30 to rank as the No. 3 hardware for the week.

It sold 98,999 units the week prior.

Splatoon 2 ranked as the No. 3 software selling 105,326 units for the week.

Capcom Co. Ltd. this week said it will release Resident Evil Revelations and Resident Evil Revelations 2 for the Nintendo Switch in late 2017.

The title will include 1080p resolution, improved frame rate, and all DLC.

The Resident Evil Revelations Collection will include both titles, one cartridge and Resident Evil Revelations 2 download code, at $39.99.

In addition, each title will be sold in digital format at $19.99.

Hamster, Co. this week released Strikers 1945 for the Nintendo Switch.

Developed by Psikyo, Strikers 1945 is a vertical shooter game released to the Neo Geo in 1995. The title six planes, two-player co-op, and global leaderboards.

It sells at $7.99.

The trailer previews the turn-based combat from the final game.

Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle is a turn-based tactical adventure title in which Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach and Yoshi must team with Rabbids to save the Mushroom Kingdom.

Telltale Games and Mojang AB this week said it will release Minecraft: Story Mode for the Nintendo Switch Aug. 22 at U.S. retail and Aug. 25 in Europe.

The title includes all five episodes from the season pass and three bonus episodes from the Adventure Pass add-on series. It will be sold in retail and digital formats at $39.99.

The Nintendo 3DS ranked as the No. 1 hardware in Japan in the latest sales data from the territory.

Media Create Co. this month said the Nintendo 3DS sold 142,600 units between July 24 and July 30 to rank as the No. 1 game hardware for the week.

The hardware sold 34,145 units the week prior.

Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age ranked as the No. 1 software selling 1,148,888 units for the week.

Nintendo this week U.S. retail will begin pre-orders for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System Classic Edition to U.S. retail this month.

In addition, the company said it will ship a significant amount of additional systems at launch and through the balance of the calendar year.

The mini system, to be sold Sept. 29, will include 21 classic SNES titles, HDMI functionality, and two wired SNES Classic Controllers at $79.99.

Mojang AB this week said it will released the Minecraft Better Together Beta for Windows 10 and Android.

The Better Together Beta allows users to stress test the update, which will unify versions of Minecraft for console, mobile and Windows 10.

The beta includes access to new items and Course Dirt.

Digital owners can enter the beta via the Xbox Insider Hub under Minecraft Beta.
