Sony Corp. this week said the Playstation 4 has sold through 60.4 million units at global retail.

The sales figure is as of June 11.

In addition, PS4 software has sold 487.4 million units in retail and digital formats.

The action platform title will include two-player local co-op, in-mech combat, and new locations.

Bandai Namco America Inc. this week said it will release Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom for the Playstation 4 and the PC Nov. 10.

Developed by Level-5, Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom includes Evan, the boy king of Ding Dong Dell who is banished from the kingdom after a treacherous coup.

The title includes action-based battles and additional party characters that be controlled dynamically.

Microsoft Corp. this week said it will release Xbox One X, the next hardware in the Xbox One console division, Nov. 7.

Xbox One X will include eight cores, 6 TFlop capability, 12GB GDDR5 memory, 326GB per second bandwidth, 40 compute units at 1172Mhz, 1TB hard drive, 4K UHD Blu-ray disc drive, and backwards compatibility to Xbox One games and hardware.

It will support HDMI 2.1 and AMD FreeSync, an adaptive synchronization technology to eliminate screen tearing and reduce stutter.

Microsoft this week said it will release Forza Motorsport 7 for Xbox One, Xbox One X and the PC Oct. 3.

Forza Motorsport 7 will include more than 700 vehicles, 4K textures at 60 frames-per-second on Xbox One X.

The final game will include more than 30 environments.

Microsoft this week said Resident Evil 7 and Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands for the Xbox One will receive a patch to update the graphics to 4K fidelity for the Xbox One X.

Microsoft this week said it will release Crackdown 3 to the Xbox One and the PC Nov. 7.

The title is a sequel of the open world action franchise released to the Xbox 360 in 2007.

The final game will include large open stages, high-powered weaponry, and co-op functionality.

It will be sold exclusively for the Xbox One.

Capcom Co. Ltd. this week released Story Demo for Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite.

The Story Demo is available to download at the Playstation Store and the Xbox Store.

Capcom Co. Ltd. this week said it will release Monster Hunter World for the PS4, Xbox One and the PC.

Monster Hunter World is an open world action RPG that will include cooperative gameplay and large boss battles.

It will be sold in early 2018.

Ubisoft Inc. this week released the Gameplay Trailer for Far Cry 5.

The trailer previews shooting gameplay, including sniper and dog combat options.

Far Cry 5 will take place in Hope County, Montana in which the user must survive the cult-occupied county and take down the prophet of Eden’s Gate, Joseph Seed, and free Hope County from his campaign.

Activision Blizzard Inc. this week released the Multiplayer Trailer for Call of Duty: WWII Trailer for Call of Duty WWII.

The trailer previews the multiplayer component from the final game.

Developed by Sledgehammer Games, Call of Duty WWII will include the 1st infantry division as they battle to preserve freedom.

The title takes place between 1944 and 1945 in the European theater. Missions include the Hürtgen Forest and Normandy.

It will be sold Nov. 3.

Annapurna Interactive this week said it will release Ashen for the Xbox One and the PC in 2018.

Developed by Aurora44, Ashen is an non-linear action RPG about forging relationships to guide trusted users to their camp.

The final game will include passive co-op functionality, an open world, and giant enemies.

Annapurna Interactive this week said it will release The Artful Escape for Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox One and the PC.

Developed by Beethoven & Dinosaur, The Artful Escape is an action adventure title said to include famous folk singers, space Gods, hallucinogens and reptile shops.

The final game is said to merge music, lasers and light battles.

Odd Tales this week previewed The Last Night for the Xbox One.

The Last Night is a 2D side-scroller action title that will include a cyberpunk open world with four unique districts to travel between.

The final game will including driving, flying drones and hacking droids.

Bandai Namco Entertainment America Inc. this week said it will release Dragon Ball FighterZ.

Developed by Arc System Works, Dragon Ball FighterZ is a 3v3 2D fighting title that utilizes advanced 3D character models.

A closed beta for the PS4 and Xbox One will be held at the end of summer.

It will be sold in 2018.

Bethesda Softworks this week said it will release Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus Oct. 27.

In Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus users must recruit bold resistance leaders to fight against Nazi-controller America.

The final game will include guns and abilities to fight against Nazi soldiers, cyborgs, and über soldiers.

Nintendo this week released the Game Trailer for Super Mario Odyssey for the Nintendo Switch.

The trailer previews Mario is a new worldwide adventure to rescue Princess Peach from Bowser’s wedding plans.

Super Mario Odyssey is an action platform title in which Mario leaves the Mushroom Kingdom to enter a new sandbox-style journey.

Locations include a metropolitan city, forest and food-based world.

It will be sold Oct. 27.

Nintendo this week released the Game Trailer for Fire Emblem Warriors for the Nintendo Switch.

The trailer previews Marth, Xander, and Corin in cinematic exposition.

Developed by Koei Tecmo Corp., Fire Emblem Warriors is an action title based on the Warriors franchise, which includes strategy-based third-person battles against enemy hordes.

Ubisoft Inc. this week said it will release Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle for the Nintendo Switch Aug. 29.

Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle is a turn-based tactical adventure title in which Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach and Yoshi must team with Rabbids to save the Mushroom Kingdom.

The final game includes tactical battles, multiple heroes, weapon options, and team attacks.


Nintendo this week said it will release Metroid Prime 4 for Nintendo Switch.

The Metroid Prime was released to the Nintendo GameCube in 2002. Metroid Prime 2: Echoes released in 2004. Finally, Metroid Prime 3: Corruption was released to the Wii in 2007.

A release date is to be determined.

Nintendo this week released the Expansion Pass Trailer Expansion Pass Trailer for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild for the Nintendo Switch and the Wii U.

The trailer previews DLC Pack 1 – Master Trials and DLC Pack 2 – The Champions Ballad.

The Expansion Pass DLC Pack 1 (Summer 2017) will include the Trials of the Sword challenge to face waves of enemies and unlock the true power of the Master Sword. Hero’s Path Mode is a new map feature that shows the path and time spent in Hyrule. In Hard Mode, all enemies regain health and all enemies are powered up by one level. A new Travel Medallion can be found in the world to create one fast travel point on the map.

Finally, new armor, including Majora’s Mask, Midna’s Helmet, Phantom Armor, Tingle’s Helmet, and the Korak Mask can be found.

DLC Pack 2 (Holiday 2017) will include a new original story, new dungeon and additional challenges.

Nintendo this week said it will release Metroid: Samus Returns for the Nintendo 3DS Sept. 15.

Metroid: Samus Returns is a reimagine of the 1991 Game Boy release Metroid II: Return of Samus.

The title will include new moves and abilities and new amiibo functionality with new Samus Aran and Metroid figures.

Nintendo this week said it will release Sushi Striker: The Way of Sushido for the Nintendo 3DS in 2018.

Sushi Striker: The Way of Sushido is a puzzle action game in which users match colored plates and types of sushi to hurl plate stacks toward their opponent.

The final game will include two player versus functionality.

EA Inc. demonstrated FIFA 18 for the Nintendo Switch at the Electronic Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles, CA.

The demonstration build held a solid 60 frames-per-second frame rate during gameplay. It went to 30 frames-per-second for close camera setups.

Controls were tight with the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller with solid player movement and directional passing functionality.

FIFA 18 will include FIFA Ultimate Team, Career Mode, and Kick Off and Local Seasons.

The title will render at 1080p docked, 720p in handheld mode and utilize Physically Based Player Rendering in 3D environments.

The final game will offer multiple control schemes including single Joy-Con, dual Joy-Con, or Pro Controller.

It will be sold Sept. 29.


Bethesda Softworks this week said it will release Fallout 4 VR for PC and HTC VIVE.

Fallout 4 VR will include new combat, crafting, and building systems built for VR including VR-enhanced V.A.T.S.

The final game will include the full Fallout 4 game including locations, characters and quests.

It will be sold in Oct.

Bethesda Softworks this week said it will release DOOM VFR for the Playstation 4 Playstation VR and VIVE.

DOOM VFR is a new virtual reality game will include trademark space station first-person shooting against demonic monsters.
