Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe this week demonstrated Dragon Ball FighterZ for Sony Corp.’s Playstation 4, Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox One and the PC at the Electronic Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles, CA.
The demonstration build facilitated a player vs. player 3v3 battle. Controls including light, medium and heavy attack, each of which can yield a special move variant. In addition, users can jump and attack for an alternate special move.
The three attack levels initiate chain combo attacks on ground and in air.
Controls were solid with tight movement with fluid combo attacks and supers.
The graphics engine is superb at 60 frames-per-second with cel-shaded characters and attacks to produce an animation quality near exact to its anime counterpart.
Developed by Arc System Works, Dragon Ball FighterZ is a 3v3 2D fighting title that utilizes advanced 3D character models.
A closed beta for the PS4 and Xbox One will be held at the end of summer.
It will be sold in 2018.
