Nintendo Co. Ltd. this week said the Nintendo Switch hardware ranked No. 1 in Apr. at U.S. retail.

In data by NPD Group Inc., the Nintendo Switch sold 280,000 units in Apr.

In addition, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe ranked as the No. 1 software selling 460,000 physical units and 90,000 digital units.

In the fourth quarter, Nintendo held a $3.5 million loss. For the fiscal year ending Mar. 2017, it held a $924 million net profit.

It sold 2.74 million Nintendo Switch units in the fiscal fourth quarter.

In addition, it sold 5.46 million Nintendo Switch software units in the period.
