Nintendo Co. Ltd. this week said The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild for the Nintendo Switch and the Wii U sold. 3.84 million units to date.
The Nintendo Switch SKU sold 2.76 million units and the Wii U SKU sold 1.08 million units.
The Legend of Zelda is an open world RPG that will include trademark franchise features including action-based combat, Sailcloth gliding, and horseback travel and combat with Epona.
The final game includes the option to pinpoint locations in the open world via the Wii U GamePad and traverse to the area by several means.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is sold in a standard edition at $59.99, Special Edition with game, Nintendo Switch Sheikah Carrying Case, Sheikah Eye Collectible Coin, Relic of Hyrule: Calamity Ganon Tapestry and Weather-Worn Map, and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Sound Selection CD at $99.99. The Master Edition includes all Special Edition contents plus a Master Sword of Resurrection figure at $129.99.
The Expansion Pass includes the Expansion Pass Bonus, DLC Pack 1 and DLC Pack 2 at $19.99.
The Expansion Pass Bonus includes three new treasure chests; DLC Pack 1 (Summer 2017) will include a new Cave of Trials Challenge, Hard Mode, and Additional Map Feature; and DLC Pack 2 (Holiday 2017) will include a new original story, new dungeon and additional challenges.
