Sales for Sony Corp.’s Playstation 4 ranked as the No. 3 hardware in Japan in the latest data from the region.
Media Create Co. this month reported the PS4 sold 24,512units between Apr. 3 to Apr. 9 to rank No. 3 in overall hardware sales.
The PS4 Pro sold 6,490 in the same period.
The hardware sold 30,057 units the week prior.
Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands ranked as the No. 7 software for the week selling 7,907 units in the period.
Sony this week said it will release Uncharted: The Lost Legacy for the Playstation 4 Aug. 22.
The title will take place in India six to 12 months after the events of Uncharted 4. The title will include expanded level design for trademark traversal challenges, a new weaponry including the Silenced Pistol.
Sega Corp. this week said it will release Yakuza Kiwami for the Playstation 4 Aug. 29.
Yakuza Kiwami is a remaster of the 2005 Playstation 2 release. The title will include 1080p / 60 frames-per-second graphics, re-recorded Japanese audio and 30 minutes of new cutscenes.
Sales for PS Vita ranked as the No. 4 video game hardware in Japan in the latest retail data from the region.
Media Create Co. this week said the PS Vita sold 5,987 units between Apr. 3 to Apr. 9 to rank as the No. 4 hardware for the week.
It sold 7,780 units the week prior.

Media Create Co. this month reported that the Xbox One sold 132 units between Apr. 3 and Apr. 9 to rank No. 7 in overall sales.
It sold 187 units the week prior.
Microsoft this week said it will reveal Project Scorpio, the next hardware in the Xbox One console division, this June at E3 in Los Angeles.
Publication Eurogamer.net this week said Project Scorpio will support HDMI 2.1 and AMD FreeSync, an adaptive synchronization technology to eliminate screen tearing and reduce stutter.
Project Scorpio will include eight cores, 6 TFlop capability, 12GB GDDR5 memory, 326GB per second bandwidth, 40 compute units at 1172Mhz, 1TB hard drive, 4K UHD Blu-ray disc drive, and backwards compatibility to Xbox One games and hardware.
Ubisoft Inc. this month will release the Narco Road DLC for Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands.
The Narco Road DLC includes 15 new campaign missions, four new side mission and racing challenge types, muscle cars, acrobatic planes, chopper bikes, monster trucks, four outfits, and nine weapons.
