Microsoft Corp. this week detailed Project Scorpio, the next hardware in the Xbox console division.
Publication Eurogamer.net this week said the hardware will include eight cores, 6 TFlop capability, 12GB GDDR5 memory, 326GB per second bandwidth, 40 compute units at 1172Mhz, 1TB hard drive, 4K UHD Blu-ray disc drive, and backwards compatibility to Xbox One games and hardware.
The company demonstrated Forza Motorsport in 4K at 60 frames-per-second and said Xbox One titles in 900p and 1080p should run in native 4K on Project Scorpio.
The final hardware will include native 4K graphics support at 60hz and VR functionality.
It will be sold holiday 2017.
