Sales for Sony Corp.’s Playstation 4 ranked as the No. 2 hardware in Japan in the latest data from the region.

Media Create Co. this month reported the PS4 sold 35,300 units between Mar. 6 to Mar. 12 to rank No. 1 in overall hardware sales.

The sales figure 6,742 PS4 Pro units sold 6,398 in the same period.

The hardware sold 37,807 units the week prior.

Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands ranked as the No. 1 software for the week selling 89,791 units for the week.

Sony this week said Horizon Zero Dawn for the Playstation 4 has sold more than 2.6 million units during the first two weeks of launch.

Horizon: Zero Dawn is a third-person action title that includes a heroine against large robotic monsters.

Sony this week said it the Playstation Now service will expand to stream Playstation 4 titles in 2017.

SNK Corp. this week released Sengoku for the Playstation 4 to the Playstation Network division.

Released to the Neo Geo in 1991, Sengoku is a two-player side-scrolling action title in which ghosts have been revived in modern times in a devastated Washington city.

It sells at $7.99.

Sony this week released the Road to the Show Trailer for MLB The Show 17 for the Playstation 4.

The trailer preview the Road to the Show mode, a new third-person RPG that guides a baseball player from the minors to the majors.

MLB The Show 17, to be sold Mar. 28, will include Retro Mode, new managerial and gameplay options, and Year-to-Year Saves.

NIS America Inc. this week released Danganronpa 1-2 Reload for the Playstation 4 to U.S. retail this week.

Danganronpa 1-2 Reload includes Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc and Danganronpa 2 Goodbye Despair.

In the visual novel title, students are trapped in a murder mystery in which one of them is the killer.

Sony this week released Multiplayer Update for Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End for the Playstation 4.

The update includes the King of the Hill mode, new weapons (INSAS, Type-95 long guns, Competition Pistol) and Savage Starlight character skins.

SNK Corp. this week released the Yamazaki DLC Trailer for The King of Fighters XIV for the Playstation 4.

The trailer previews DLC character Ryuji Yamazaki, a veteran from prior installments of the franchse.

The King of Fighters XIV includes three vs. three team matches and 50 new and veteran characters.

Sales for the PS Vita ranked as the No. 4 video game hardware in Japan in the latest retail data from the region.

Media Create Co. this week said the PS Vita sold 8,398 Mar. 6 to Mar. 12 to rank as the No. 4 hardware for the week.

It sold 9,889 units the week prior.

Minecraft: PS Vita Edition ranked as the No. 21 software for the week.

Sales for Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox One hardware ranked at No. 7 in Japan in the latest retail data from the region.

Media Create Co. this month reported that the Xbox One sold 117 units between Mar. 6 to Mar. 12 to rank No. 7 in overall sales.

It sold 147 units the week prior.

In Q2, Xbox gaming revenue declined three percent due to lower Xbox console pricing and sales volume. Software and services revenue increased 18 percent.

EA Inc. this week released EA Access to Mass Effect Andromeda for the Xbox One.

EA Access allows users to play 10 hours of single-player or multiplayer and save their progress prior to release.

EA Access sells at $4.99 per month or $29.99 per year.

Developed by BioWare, Mass Effect Andromeda will include a brand new adventure with new visuals and a new galaxy to explore.

Sales for Nintendo Co. Ltd.’s Nintendo Switch hardware ranked No. 1 in Japan in the latest sales data for the region.

Media Create Co. this month reported that the Nintendo Switch sold 61,998 units between Mar. 6 to Mar. 12 to rank as the No. 1 hardware for the week.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild ranked as the No. 3 software selling 44,483 units for the week.

Nintendo will double the production for the Nintendo Switch hardware due to increased demand, according to a new report.

The Wall Street Journal this month said Nintendo will increase production for the Nintendo Switch to 16 million units from eight million units between Apr. 1, 2017 and Mar. 31, 2018.

Nintendo this week released The Making The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild – The Beginning Video for the Nintendo Switch and Wii U.

Nintendo this week released the Global Testfire download for Splatoon 2 for the Nintendo Switch.

The Global Testfire will be held between Mar. 24 and Mar. 26 and allow users to preview the title, including four new weapons, and remixed versions of the Splat Roller and Splat Charger.

Pokémon Sun and Moon ranked as the No. 8 software in Japan 11,646 units for the week.
