Sales for Sony Corp.’s Playstation 4 ranked as the No. 1 hardware in Japan in the latest data from the region.
Media Create Co. this month reported the PS4 sold 36,378 units between Jan. 30 and Feb. 5 to rank No. 1 in overall hardware sales.
The sales figure includes 9,508 PS4 Pro units sold in the same period.
The hardware sold 40,671 units the week prior.
Resident Evil 7 ranked as the No. 1 software for the week selling 52,665 units for the week.
Sony this week said Resident Evil 7 for the PlayStation 4 ranked in the top three downloads in the Playstation Network division in Jan. 2017.
In Jan., Resident Evil 7 ranked as the No. 2 PS4 PSN digital download software for the month.
Finally, the title has shipped three million units to global retail.
Sony this week said it will price cut select Playstation 4 bundles to $249.99 in a limited sale.
Between Feb. 12 and Feb. 25, customers can purchase the Playstation 4 Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End Bundle or the Playstation 4 500GB Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Bundle at $249.99.
Each bundle typically sells at $299.99.
Sony this week released free Playstation 4, Playstation 3 and PS Vita titles for Playstation Plus members to the Playstation Network division for Feb. 2017.
PS Plus titles include LittleBigPlanet 3 (PS4), Not A Hero (PS4), Starwhal (PS3), Anna – Extended Edition (PS3), Ninja Senki DX (PS Vita), and TorqueL (PS Vita).
Tecmo Koei Corp. this week releases Nioh to the Playstation 4.
Nioh is a samurai combat action title set in civil war Japan.
The final game incorporates authentic samurai sword fight technique and supernatural creatures from Japanese folklore.
Sony this week released the Playstation 4 Glacier White Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Bundle to to Wal-Mart Stores Inc.’s retail stores.
Playstation 4 Glacier White Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Bundle includes the PS4 500GB Glacier White SKU, Dualshock 4 Glacier White SKU, and Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare at $299.
Capcom Co. this week said it will release Kolin for Street Fighter V for the Playstation 4 and the PC Feb. 28.
Kolin utilizes the Russian martial art of Systemia to use opponent momentum against them, in addition to the power of ice bestowed by Gill.
Kolin is included in the Season 2 Character Pass which includes Akuma, Kolin and four brand new fighters to be announced this year.

Nihon Falcom Corp. this week said it will release Ys Origin for the Playstation 4 and the PS Vita.
The trailer previews the two main characters in the title.
Ys Origin, released in Japan in 2006, is a remastered version of the original title that will include brand new features.
It will be sold Feb. 21, 2017.
Sales for Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox One hardware ranked at No. 6 in Japan in the latest retail data from the region.
Media Create Co. this month reported that the Xbox One sold 111 units between Jan. 30 to Feb. 5 to rank No. 6 in overall sales.
It sold 231 units the week prior.
Microsoft this week released the Launch Trailer for Halo Wars 2 for the Xbox One and the PC.
The trailer previews cinematic exposition from the final game.
Halo Wars 2 is a real-time strategy title based in the Halo universe.
The final game will include 13 campaign missions, multiplayer for up to six, and an all-new Blitz mode.
It will be sold Feb. 21, 2017.
Microsoft this week released the Playseat Car Pack for Forza Horizon 3 for the Xbox One.
The Playseat Car Pack includes seven new vehicles including the 2016 Vauxhall Corsa VXR, 1990 Renault Alpine GTA Le Mans, 2016 Cadillac ATS-V, 1985 HDT VK Commodore Group A, 1970 Honda S800, 2017 Aston Martin DB11, and the 2016 Honda Civic Type R.
It sells at $6.99.
Telltale Games this week said it will release The Walking Dead – A New Frontier to U.S. retail Feb. 28.
The Walking Dead – A New Frontier retail SKU includes Episode One and Two and subsequent episodes to be released in the five-episode season.
EA Inc. this month released the Live Fire Gameplay Trailer for Titanfall 2.
The trailer previews Live Fire, a new elimination mode.
Live Fire, to be released in Feb., is a 6v6 pilot-only elimination mode in which teams must defeat the enemy team in 60 seconds. The free content update will include Live Fire and two maps designed for the mode.
Ubisoft Inc. this week released Operation Velvet Shell DLC for Rainbow Six Siege.
The Operation Velvet Shell DLC includes two G.E.O. operators and a new free map set in Ibiza, Spain.
Bandai Namco Entertainment America Inc. this week said it will release Project Cars 2 in late 2017.
The title will include more than 170 vehicles, 60-plus tracks, Online Championships game mode, and racing disciplines including ice, dirt, snow and mud racing.
The final game will include 12K (three 4K monitors) and VR support.
Bethesda Game Studios this week released Fallout Shelter for the Xbox One and the PC.
In Fallout Shelter, users act as the Overseer to build their own Vault to manage dwellers and adventure through the Fallout wasteland.
The final game includes Crafting, Scrapping, Pets, additional rooms, Fallout characters and special Dweller customization options.
It is available as an Xbox Play Anywhere free download from the Xbox Store or Windows Store.

Media Create Co. this month reported that the Wii U sold 778 units between Jan. 30 and Feb. 5 to rank as the No. 4 hardware for the week.
It sold 710 units the week prior.
Minecraft: Wii U Edition ranked as the No. 20 software selling 3,133 units for the week.
Nintendo this week released the Hardware Overview Trailer for Nintendo Switch.
The trailer details Nintendo Switch hardware functionality including TV Mode, Handheld Mode, and Tabletop Mode.
Sega Corp. this week said it will release Puyo Puyo Tetris for the Nintendo Switch Apr. 25.
Puyo Puyo Tetris is a puzzle party game that will include a single-player mode, multiplayer arcade mode, and online play.
The final game will be sold in a special retail edition with two keychains at $39.99 and a digital version at $29.99.
