Sales for Sony Corp.’s Playstation 4 ranked as the No. 2 hardware in Japan in the latest data from the region.

Media Create Co. this month reported the PS4 sold 118,350 units between Nov. 28 and Dec. 4 to rank No. 1 in overall hardware sales.

The sales figure includes 8,032 PS4 Pro units sold in the same period.

It sold 42,102 units the week prior.

Final Fantasy XV ranked as the No. 1 software for the week selling 690,471 units.

Sony this week said the Playstation 4 has sold 50 million units in global markets.

The sales figure is as of Dec. 6, 2016.

The company said the hardware held the best Black Friday sales in the history of the platform, which included sales of the new Playstation 4 Pro.

Sony this month said it will release Uncharted: The Lost Legacy for the Playstation 4.

Developed by Naughty Dog, the stand-alone adventure will include Chloe Frazer and Nadine Ross.

The final game will include trademark stealth, firearm combat, and puzzles in exotic locations.

Sony this month said it will release The Last of Us Part II for the Playstation 4.

The Last of Us Part II is a sequel to The Last of Us that will include Ellie and Joel.

The final game will include action survival gameplay.

Sony this week released The Last Guardian for the Playstation 4.

The title, directed by Fumito Ueda, features a young boy and his friendship with a giant creature.

The third-person action title requires users to traverse complicated structures with the aid of the creature.

Sony this month said it will release Knack 2 for the Playstation 4.

The action platform title will include two-player local co-op, in-mech combat, and new locations.

Nihon Falcom Corp. this month said it will release Ys Origin for the Playstation 4 and the PS Vita.

Ys Origin, released in Japan in 2006, is a remastered version of the original title that will include brand new features.

It will be sold Feb. 21, 2017.

Sales for the PS Vita ranked as the No. 3 video game hardware in Japan in the latest retail data from the region.

Media Create Co. this month said the PS Vita sold 20,141 units between Nov. 28 and Dec. 4 to rank as the No. 3 hardware for the week.

It sold 12,240 units the week prior.

Minecraft: PS Vita Edition ranked as the No.9 software 8,028 units for the week.

Sales for Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox One hardware ranked at No. 6 in Japan in the latest retail data from the region.

Media Create Co. this month reported that the Xbox One sold 256 units between Nov. 28 to Dec. 4 to rank No. 6 in overall sales.

It sold 778 units the week prior.

Final Fantasy XV ranked as the No. 19 software selling 3,791 units for the week.

Microsoft this week released Dead Rising 4 for the Xbox One and the PC.

Dead Rising 4 includes Frank West, the photographer from the first installment of the series, and includes new weapons and vehicles.

The final game includes new zombie classes and EXO Suits.

Microsoft this week released the Logitech Car Pack DLC for Forza Horizon 3 for the Xbox One.

The Logitech Car Pack includes the 2015 Bentley EXP 10 Speed 6 Concept, 1965 Pontiac GTO, 2017 Jaguar F-PACE, 1996 HSV GTSR, 2014 Morgan 3 Wheeler, 2017 Mercedes-AMG GT R, and the 1992 Toyota Supra 2.0 GT Twin Turbo.

It sells at $6.99.

Capcom Co. Ltd. this week said it will release Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite in 2017.

The trailer previews trademark characters including Mega Man, Ryu, Iron Man, and Captain Marvel.

Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite will include Arcade, Training and Mission modes.

The final game will include a Story Mode.

Activision Blizzard Inc. this week released the Quartermaster Update for Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare.

The update includes a new Prototype weapons, taunts, and personalization items, including the EBR-800 Bomber sniper/assault rifle hybrid, DCM-8 Epitaph shotgun.

EA Inc. this week released the Rogue One: Scarif DLC to Star Wars Battlefront.

Rogue One: Scarif is the fourth and final expansion pack. It includes two new heroes – Jyn Erso and Orson Krennic, four new maps, new weapons, and a new multi-stage game mode with space and ground combat.

Sales for Nintendo Co. Ltd.’s Wii U hardware ranked fourth in Japan in the latest sales data for the region.

Media Create Co. this month reported that the Wii U sold 4,718 units between Nov. 28 and Dec. 4.

It sold 3,493 units the week prior.

Minecraft: Wii U Edition ranked as the No. 12 software for the week 6,931 units.

Nintendo this week previewed the Nintendo Switch and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

In the segment, Nintendo of America Inc. President and COO Reggie Fils-Aime demonstrates The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild on the Nintendo Switch hardware.

The Nintendo 3DS ranked as the No. 1 hardware in Japan in the latest sales data from the territory.

Media Create Co. this month said the Nintendo 3DS sold 78,929 units Nov. 28 and Dec. 4 to rank as the No. 2 game hardware for the week.

The hardware sold 71,312 units the week prior.

Super Mario Maker ranked as the No. 3 software in Japan selling 162,180 units for the week.

Nintendo this week released the trailer for Super Mario Run for Apple Inc.’s iOS.

The trailer previews the mobile title in which users tap to control a running Mario.

Sprint this week said it will partner with Niantic, Inc. and Nintendo’s Pokémon GO to create PokéStops and Pokemon Gyms at Sprint, Boost Mobile and Sprint at RadioShack locations.

Under the agreement, starting Dec. 12, customers can visit Sprint, Boost Mobile and Sprint at RadioShack stores to collect in-game items including Poké Balls and Eggs, battle at Sprint-sponsored Gyms, and recharge their phones.

In Pokémon GO, users can walk around their neighborhood to search and catch Pokémon, visit PokéStops at points of interest, and take on Gym battles.
