Sales for Sony Corp.’s Playstation 4 ranked as the No. 1 hardware in Japan in the latest data from the region.

Media Create Co. this month reported the PS4 sold 32,041 units between Oct. 31 and Nov. 6 to rank No. 1 in overall hardware sales.

It sold 30,375 units the week prior.

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare ranked as the No. 1 software for the week selling 105,674 units.

Sony this week released the Playstation 4 Pro to U.S. retail.

The PS4 Pro will include 4K and HDR functionality to improve graphics fidelity. In addition, it will include an 8-core AMD Jaguar CPU, GPU at 4.20 TFLOPS, 8GB GDDR5 RAM, and 1TB hard drive. Current PS4 titles will be forward compatible with the PS4 Pro.

It is sold at $399.99.

The Playstation Network this week began holding the Decade of Downloads Sale Week 1 promotion for the Playstation 4, Playstation 3, and PS Vita.

Discounted titles include Grand Theft Auto V, Bloodborne Complete Edition Bundle, The Last Blade 2, FEZ, and Castlevania: Symphony of the Night.

The sale is valid through Nov. 15.

Bandai Namco Games America Inc. this week released Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization for the Playstation 4 and the PS Vita.

Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization is the fourth installment in the Sword Art Online action RPG franchise.

In the title, users take the role of Kirito in a new VRMMORPG called Sword Art: Origin.

Sony this week removed all Viacom-owned channels from Playstation Vue.

Viacom channels, including MTV, Comedy Central, Spike, and Nickelodeon, will be removed Nov. 11.

Alternatively, BBC America and NBA TV were added to the channel lineup.

Media Create Co. this month reported that the Wii U sold 2,071 units between Oct. 31 and Nov. 6.

It sold 1,898 units the week prior.

EA Inc. this week detailed pre-order bonus items for Mass Effect Andromeda.

Pre-order bonus items include the Deep Space Explorer Armor and the Multiplayer Booster Pack for 5X of 50 percent XP Boosters.

Developed by BioWare, the title will include a brand new adventure with new visuals and a new galaxy to explore.

Microsoft this week announced backwards compatibility for Mass Effect 2 and Mass Effect 3 for the Xbox 360 to the Xbox One.

The backwards compatibility function allows Xbox One owners to utilize their Xbox 360 retail discs to download the software to their Xbox One and play natively with new Xbox One functionality.

2K Games this week released the Mafia III Weapons Pack.

The Weapons Pack, which includes The Praecisione .30 Rifle, The Exeterminatore Shotgun, and the Silentium Pistol, is available to download at no cost.

Nintendo this week released the NES Classic Edition to U.S. retail.

The Nintendo Entertainment System Classic Edition is a mini replica of the original home console that includes 30 games, HDMI cable, and NES Classic Controller. It sells at $59.99.

Game titles include Balloon Fight, Bubble Bobble, Castlevania, Castlevania II: Simon’s Quest, Donkey Kong, Donkey Kong Jr., Double Dragon II: The Revenge, Dr. Mario, Excitebike, Final Fantasy, Galaga, Ghosts ‘N Goblins, Gradius, Ice Climber, Kid Icarus, Kirby’s Adventure, Mario Bros., Mega Man 2, Metroid, Ninja Gaiden, Pac-Man, Punch-Out!! Featuring Mr. Dream, StarTropics, Super C, Super Mario Bros., Super Mario Bros. 2, Super Mario Bros. 3, Tecmo Bowl, The Legend of Zelda, and The Legend of Zelda II: The Adventure of Link.

The NES Classic Controller can connect to a Wii Remote Controller to play Virtual Console titles for the Wii or Wii U.

The Nintendo Power Line offers recorded tips for several games and behind-the-scenes stories from original Nintendo Game Play Counselors.

The hardware sold 25,660 units the week prior.

Mario Party Star Rush ranked as the No. 12 software selling 10,595 units for the week.
