Sony Corp. this week said all Viacom-owned channels will be removed from Playstation Vue.

Viacom channels, including MTV, Comedy Central, Spike, and Nickelodeon, will be removed Nov. 11.

Alternatively, BBC America and NBA TV have been added to the channel lineup.

Playstation Vue includes up to 100-plus channels per market from national programmers and local broadcast stations.

The service features on-demand TV, the option to save shows to the cloud, and Search and Explore functions to narrow program results.

Content providers include CBS, Discovery Communications, Fox, Fox News Network, NBC Universal, Scripps Networks, and AMC Networks.

The service has no contracts and does not require any additional equipment other than the console hardware, PC or Android TV.

The Access Package includes 55-plus channels at $39.99 per month, the Core Package sells at $44.99 and adds local regional sports networks, the Elite Package sells at $54.99 per month and includes Access and Core channels plus top movie and entertainment channels, and the Ultra Package includes Elite channels plus HBO and Showtime at $74.99.
