Media Create Co. this month reported the PS4 sold 96,433 units between Sept. 12 and Sept. 18 to rank No. 1 in overall hardware sales.
It sold 560 units the week prior.
Persona 5 ranked as the No. 1 software for the week selling 264,793 units for the week.
Sony this week released the Dualshock 4 USB Wireless Adapter for the Playstation 4 to U.S. retail.
The Dualshock 4 USB Wireless Adapter allows users to utilize the Dualshock 4 on PC for Playstation Now, or on PC and Mac for PS4 Remote Play.
It sells at $24.99.
Sony this week said it will release Driveclub VR for the Playstation 4 Playstation VR Oct. 13.
Driveclub VR will include online virtual reality multiplayer races, single-player career, new and classic tracks, more than 80 vehicles, and Passenger Mode to be a virtual passenger in a replay.
The Playstation VR peripheral will be sold in Oct. at $399.

Media Create Co. this month reported that the Xbox One sold 156 units between Sept. 12 and Sept. 18 to rank No. 6 in overall sales.
It sold 232 units the week prior.
Microsoft this week released Forza Horizon 3 Ultimate Edition for the Xbox One.
The Ultimate Edition includes full access to the title four days prior to release.
In addition, it includes the Limited Edition SteelBook, the Forza Horizon 3 Car Pass, VIP Membership, Forza Hub App, Motorsport All-Stars Car Pack.

Mojang AB this week said it will release Minecraft: Education Edition Nov. 1.
Minecraft: Education Edition is an open world title that allows administrators to map projects and activities to direct learning outcomes, and students to utilize trial-and-error, collaboration, and problem solving skills.
Minecraft: Education Edition will be sold at $5 per user. It requires Windows 10 or OS X El Capitan.
