Sales for Sony Corp.’s Playstation 4 ranked as the No. 1 hardware in Japan in the latest data from the region.

Media Create Co. this month reported the PS4 sold 96,433 units between Sept. 12 and Sept. 18 to rank No. 1 in overall hardware sales.

It sold 560 units the week prior.

Persona 5 ranked as the No. 1 software for the week selling 264,793 units for the week.

Sony this week released the Dualshock 4 USB Wireless Adapter for the Playstation 4 to U.S. retail.

The Dualshock 4 USB Wireless Adapter allows users to utilize the Dualshock 4 on PC for Playstation Now, or on PC and Mac for PS4 Remote Play.

It sells at $24.99.

Sony this week said it will release Driveclub VR for the Playstation 4 Playstation VR Oct. 13.

Driveclub VR will include online virtual reality multiplayer races, single-player career, new and classic tracks, more than 80 vehicles, and Passenger Mode to be a virtual passenger in a replay.

The Playstation VR peripheral will be sold in Oct. at $399.

Sony this week released the Hero RIGS Trailer for RIGS Mechanized Combat League for the Playstation 4 Playstation VR.

The trailer previews mechanized RIGS from the final game.

RIGS Mechanized Combat League, to be sold Oct. 13, is an action combat title that will include 24 RIGs, online multiplayer functionality and a single-player mode.

Square Enix Holdings Co. Ltd. this month released the Tokyo Game Show Trailer for Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age for the Playstation 4.

The trailer previews remastered graphics and gameplay.

The title is a high-definition remaster of the classic RPG and will include reconstructed battle design and a revamped job system.

Sales for the PS Vita ranked as the No. 3 video game hardware in Japan in the latest retail data from the region.

Media Create Co. this month said the PS Vita sold 12,931 units between Sept. 12 and Sept. 18 to rank as the No. 3 hardware for the week.

It sold 10,280 units the week prior.

Minecraft: PS Vita Edition ranked as the No. 12 software selling 4,968 units for the week.

Sales for Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox One hardware ranked at No. 6 in Japan in the latest retail data from the region.

Media Create Co. this month reported that the Xbox One sold 156 units between Sept. 12 and Sept. 18 to rank No. 6 in overall sales.

It sold 232 units the week prior.

Microsoft this week released Forza Horizon 3 Ultimate Edition for the Xbox One.

The Ultimate Edition includes full access to the title four days prior to release.

In addition, it includes the Limited Edition SteelBook, the Forza Horizon 3 Car Pass, VIP Membership, Forza Hub App, Motorsport All-Stars Car Pack.

Activision Blizzard Inc. this week released Destiny: Rise of Iron for the Playstation 4, Playstation 3, Xbox One, and Xbox 360.

Destiny: Rise of Iron is the next expansion in the franchise and includes a brand new story campaign, new location, new weapons, new armor, and new gear.

Microsoft this week released the Launch Trailer for Gears of War 4 for the Xbox One.

The trailer previews story and gameplay from the final game.

Gears of War 4, to be sold Oct. 11, includes a new saga in the franchise and will incorporate new characters and a multiplayer component.

Microsoft this week released Killer Instinct: Definitive Edition to U.S. retail.

Killer Instinct: Definitive Edition includes 26 characters and 20 stages from Seasons 1 to 3 and Killer Instinct Classic 1 & 2; Original Soundtrack; Bonus Skin Pack; Videos and Artwork; and Cinematic Story Mode.

Sales for Nintendo Co. Ltd.’s Wii U hardware ranked third in Japan in the latest sales data for the region.

Media Create Co. this month reported that the Wii U sold 2,703 units between Sept. 12 and Sept. 18.

It sold 3,527 units the week prior.

Minecraft: Wii U Edition ranked as the No. 7 software for the week selling 7,168 units.

Nintendo this week released the Adventure Unfolds Trailer for Paper Mario Color Splash to the Wii U.

The trailer previews spray, splash, and paint mechanics from the final game.

Paper Mario Color Splash is an action adventure title in which Mario utilizes the Paint Hammer to restore color to Prism Island.

The Nintendo 3DS ranked as the No. 2 hardware in Japan in the latest sales data from the territory.

Media Create Co. this month said the Nintendo 3DS sold 38,140 units between Sept. 12 and Sept. 18 to rank as the No. 2 game hardware for the week.

The hardware sold 20,831 units the week prior.

Yo-Kai Watch 3: Sushi / Tempura ranked as the No. 5 software selling 19,726 units for the week.

Nintendo this week released the Version Exclusive Trailer for Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon for the Nintendo 3DS.

The trailer previews version-exclusive Pokémon and new features for the final game.

The title, to be sold Nov. 18, will include a new world, new Pokémon, and new adventures. Starter Pokémon include Rowlet, Litten, and Popplio.

Atlus USA Inc. this week released Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse for the Nintendo 3DS.

Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse includes more than 450 demons to fight, fuse or recruit, new combat partners, revamped Demon Fusion, and classic SMT combat.

The final game includes 60-plus hours of gameplay.

Mojang AB this week said it will release Minecraft: Education Edition Nov. 1.

Minecraft: Education Edition is an open world title that allows administrators to map projects and activities to direct learning outcomes, and students to utilize trial-and-error, collaboration, and problem solving skills.

Minecraft: Education Edition will be sold at $5 per user. It requires Windows 10 or OS X El Capitan.
