Apple Inc. this week began sale of the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus at global retail.
The company said that the iPhone 7 Plus and Jet Black SKUs will not be available for walk-in customers to purchase Sept. 16 due to lack of inventory.
The iPhone 7 in silver, gold, rose gold and black will be available in limited quantities for walk-in customers at launch.
The Retina HD Display is said to be 25 percent brighter and battery life is two hours more than the 6S and one hour more than the 6S Plus.
The camera includes optical image stabilization, 1.8 aperture, new 12MP sensor, Quad-LED flash, and 7MP FaceTime HD camera.
The Plus SKU includes two 12MP cameras – wide-angle and telephoto lens for improved zoom and depth of field capabilities.
Included earbuds utilize the Lightning connector. Each new iPhone includes a Lightning to 3.5mm headphone jack adapter.
The iPhone 7 starts at $649 for the 32GB SKU and the iPhone 7 Plus sells at $769 for the 32GB SKU.
