Sales for Sony Corp.’s Playstation 4 ranked as the No. 2 hardware in Japan in the latest data from the region.

Media Create Co. this month reported the PS4 sold 16,469 units between Aug. 1 and Aug. 7 to rank No. 2 in overall hardware sales.

It sold 20,567 units the week prior.

Dynasty Warriors: Ei Ketsu Den ranked as the No. 15 software for the week selling 6,084 units for the week.

Sony this week said it will hold a Playstation Meeting in New York Sept. 7.

The Playstation Meeting is expected to detail the upgraded Playstation 4, code-named Neo.

The PS4 Neo is said to include enhanced graphics and 4K resolution support.

In addition, it is expected to be sold concurrently with the standard PS4 SKU. All or most PS4 games will support the console.

Hello Games this week released No Man’s Sky for the Playstation 4 to U.S. retail.

No Man’s Sky is a procedurally generated action adventure title in which users can explore the galaxy, including first-person combat and space dogfights.

The final game includes the option to trade for upgrades and ships and discovery share functionality with other players in the universe.

SNK Playmore Corp. this week released the Team Another World Trailer for The King of Fighters XIV for the Playstation 4.

The trailer previews Team Another World, including Nakoruru, MuiMui, and Love.

Sony this month said Mojang AB’s Minecraft: Playstation 4 Edition for the Playstation 4 ranked in the top 10 downloads in the Playstation Network division in July 2016 data.

In July, Minecraft: Playstation 4 Edition ranked as the No. 4 PS4 PSN digital download software for the month.

The title includes four-player split-screen local multiplayer and eight player online multiplayer functionality.

Activision Blizzard Inc. this week the Descent DLC Pack for Call of Duty: Black Ops III for the Xbox One.

The Descent DLC Pack includes four new multiplayer maps — Berserk, Cryogen, Rumble, Empire, and Gorod Krovi.

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, TT Games, The LEGO Group, and Lucasfilm this week released The Phantom Limb DLC for LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens to the Playstation 4 and Playstation 3.

The Phantom Limb Level Pack details the events that lead to C3PO’s red arm.

It is a free exclusive to PS4 and PS3 owners.

The PS Vita ranked as the No. 3 video game hardware in Japan in the latest retail data from the region.

Media Create Co. this month said the PS Vita sold 10,005 units between Aug. 1 and Aug. 7 to rank as the No. 3 hardware for the week.

It sold 11,016 units the week prior.

Minecraft: PS Vita Edition ranked as the No. 20 software selling 5,072 units for the week.

Sales for Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox One hardware ranked at No. 6 in Japan in the latest retail data from the region.

Media Create Co. this month reported that the Xbox One sold 45 units between Aug. 1 and Aug. 7 to rank No. 6 in overall sales.

It sold 68 units the week prior.

Capcom Co. Ltd. this week said it will release the Dead Rising Triple Pack in Sept.

The Dead Rising Triple Pack will include Dead Rising, Dead Rising 2, and Dead Rising 2: Off The Record at $59.49.

The Dead Rising Triple Pack digital release will be sold Sept. 13.

The Dead Rising retail SKU will be sold Sept. 13 and the Dead Rising 2 will be sold Sept. 27.

Each title will be remastered to 1080p resolution and target 60 frames-per-second graphics fidelity.

CD Projekt RED this week said it will release The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Complete Edition Aug. 30.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Complete Edition will include Hearts of Stone and Blood & Wine expansion packs, all DLC, and all previously released updates.

Microsoft this week previewed new vehicles for Forza Horizon 3 for the Xbox One and PC.

New vehicles include the 1971 Meyers Manx, 2011 Penhall Cholla, and the 1979 Toyota FJ40.

Sales for Nintendo Co. Ltd.’s Wii U hardware ranked fourth in Japan in the latest sales data for the region.

Media Create Co. this month reported that the Wii U sold 4,435 overall sales.

It sold 5,228 units the week prior.

Minecraft: Wii U Edition ranked as the No. 11 software for the week 6,631 units.

Nintendo this week said it will price cut select Wii U and Nintendo 3DS titles to under $20 in a permanent price reduction.

Beginning Aug. 26, select game titles will be price cut to $19.99 including The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD, Nintendo Land, LEOG City Undercover, Animal Crossing: New Leaf, Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon, Tomodachi Life, nintendogs + cats, and LEGO City Undercover: The Chase Begins.

Nintendo this week said it will sell new Wii U games + amiibo Bundles to U.S. retail.

The bundles, to be sold Sept. 9, will include a Wii U game and specific amiibo at $39.99 each.

Bundles include Yoshi’s Woolly World and Pink Yarn Yoshi, Yoshi’s Woolly World and Light Blue Yarn Yoshi, Mario Party 10 and Peach, Mario Party 10 and Bowser, and Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker and Toad.

The Nintendo 3DS ranked as the No. 1 hardware in Japan in the latest sales data from the territory.

Media Create Co. this month said the Nintendo 3DS sold 31,549 units between Aug. 1 and Aug. 7 to rank as the No. 2 game hardware for the week.

The hardware sold 29,043 units the week prior.

Etrian Odyssey V: The End of the Long Myth ranked as the No. 1 software selling 92,518 units for the week.

Nintendo this week released the Story Trailer Metroid Prime: Federation Force to the Nintendo 3DS.

The trailer previews the next chapter in the Metroid saga.

Nintendo this week said it will sell the New Nintendo 3DS Super Mario 3D Land Bundle at $149.99.

The bundle, to be sold Aug. 26, will include the new Nintendo 3DS, Super Mario 3D Land pre-installed, and two Mario-themed cover plates.

Capcom Co. this week said it will release Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Spirit of Justice for the Nintendo 3DS to the Nintendo eShop division Sept. 8.

A demo will be available at the Nintendo eShop Aug. 25.

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Spirit of Justice is set in a brand new location, the Kingdom of Khura’in, where séance trials decide the fate of defendants.

The final game will include the Divination Séance gameplay mechanic to revisit the last moments of a victim’s life.

It will sell at $29.99.

Mojang AB this month said it will enable Oculus Rift support for Minecraft for Windows 10 Edition next week.

Minecraft on Oculus Rift is said to work natively with Windows 10 and will include Creative and Survival Modes, and Multiplayer functionality.

Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition includes eight-player local and online craft functionality, multiple input support, and GameDVR functionality to record and share gameplay.

Microsoft this week said it will release Quantum Break: Timeless Collector’s Edition for the PC Sept. 14.

Quantum Break: Timeless Collector’s Edition will include premium packaging, five game discs, Making of Blu-ray, Making of Book, Soundtrack CD, two posters, and a Quickstart Guide at $39.99.
