Capcom Co. Ltd.’s Resident Evil 7: Beginning Hour Demo for the Playstation 4 to the Playstation Network has stumped users post release.
Beginning Hour, which was released to PSN last week, takes place prior the events of Resident Evil 7 and will not be part of the final game.
The demo includes two standard endings, however an unusable item, known as the Dummy Finger, has convinced users that the demo holds additional play not yet found.
In addition, a room typically boarded up on the third floor can be seen to be fully rendered in a glitch that exposes the room beyond the wood planks.
The reaction is similar to that of Konami Corp.’s P.T., which was released as a demo preview to the subsequently cancelled Silent Hills.
Developed Capcom has not confirmed or denied any additional gameplay beyond what has been found, however, the demo requires a Playstation Plus membership to suggest an online connection may play a part in the mystery.
Resident Evil 7 will include a first-person view and trademark survival horror. The title takes place after Resident Evil 6 in a desolate plantation mansion. It utilizes a new proprietary in-house RE Engine that includes VR orientated tools.
The standard pre-order will include the Survival Pack DLC and special dynamic theme at $59.99.
The Deluxe Edition pre-order will include Add-on Content 1: Four short side stories and Add-on Content 2: One Additional Story Episoden at $79.99.
The final title will be compatible with Playstation VR.
It will be sold Jan. 24, 2017.
