Sony Corp. this week said it will release an updated version of the Playstation 4 console that will include enhanced graphics and 4K resolution support.
The Financial Times this week reported the updated PS4, code-named Neo, will be sold concurrently with the standard PS4 SKU.
In addition, the company said all or most PS4 games will support high-end PS4.
The Neo console will sell at a higher MSRP than the current PS4 hardware. It will not be showcased E3 2016 in Los Angeles.
A release date is to be determined.

Atlus USA Inc. this week said it will release Persona 5 for the Playstation 4 and Playstation 3 Feb. 14, 2017.
Persona 5 is a turn-based RPG in which a band of students who live dual lives as Phantom Thieves seek to change their ordinary lives through the use of otherworldly alter-ego powers.
Persona 5 will be sold in a standard SteelBook Launch Edition at $59.99 and Premium Edition.
The Premium Edition will include the PS4 game, Soundtrack CD, 4-inch Morgana Plush, 64-page Hardcover Art Book, SteelBook, School Bag and Collectible Outer Box at $89.99.
Square Enix Holdings Co. Ltd. this week said it will release Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age for the Playstation 4.
The title is a high-definition remaster of the classic RPG and will include reconstructed battle design and a revamped job system.
The final game will include The Zodiac Job System, Trial Mode, updated graphics and a newly recorded soundtrack.
It will be sold in 2017.
SNK Playmore Corp. this week released the Team Kim Trailer for The King of Fighters XIV for the Playstation 4.

Atlus USA Inc. this week released Odin Sphere Leifthrasir to the Playstation 4, Playstation 3, and PS Vita.
The 2D action RPG includes HD graphics, expanded worlds, new monsters, voiced story scenes, and fine-tuned combat.
The final game is sold at physical and digital retail.
Aksys Games this week released Guilty Gear Xrd – Revelator for the Playstation 4 and Playstation 3.
Guilty Gear Xrd – Revelator is a fighting title that includes trademark 2D animation.
The title includes six new characters – Johnny, Jack-O’, Jam Kuraoberi and console exclusive DLC Kum Haehyun, Raven and Dizzy.
The final game includes Cross Play between PS4 and PS3 users and more than 20 fighters.
Sony this week said Mojang AB’s Minecraft: Playstation 4 Edition for the Playstation 4 ranked in the top 10 downloads in the Playstation Network division in May 2016.
In May, Minecraft: Playstation 4 Edition ranked as the No. 6 PS4 PSN digital download software for the month.

Bandai Namco Games America Inc. this week said it will release Mobile Suit Gundam Extreme VS-Force for the Playstation Vita to the Playstation Network July 12.
Mobile Suit Gundam Extreme VS-Force is a 3D fighting title that will include 2 vs. 2 battles, nine new characters, and squad customization.
The final game will include a new battle system feature called the Force Attack to inflict serious damage to other mobile suit characters.
Microsoft Corp. this week previewed the Summer Update for the Xbox One.
The Summer Update will include Cortana on Xbox One, New Game Collection interface, Facebook Friend Finder, and improved Sharing.
The Xbox app and Windows app gaming the option to edit and share GameDVR clips on any video editor, updated GameDVR management, 60 frames-per-second game clip recording with the Game bar, Share to Twitter, and Windows Game Bar improved full-screen support.
Finally, the Xbox One and Xbox app will feature top PC games on Xbox Live, Xbox and Windows Store convergence, and a more personal Activity Feed.

Destiny: Rise of Iron is the next expansion in the franchise and includes a brand new story campaign, new location, new weapons, new armor, and new gear.

Ubisoft Inc. this week said it will release Watch Dogs 2 Nov. 15.
Watch Dogs 2 is a third-person action adventure title in which users take the role of a brilliant hacker to shut down an invasive technology that controls everyday citizens.
The final game includes an open world of the San Francisco Bay Area including Oakland and Silicon Valley, the option to utilize hack and stealth to complete missions, and co-op and player vs. player modes.
Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment Inc. and DC Entertainment this week said it will release Injustice 2 in 2017.
Injustice 2 is a fighting title that includes a range of DC superheroes.
The sequel will include the new Gear System to drop loot and allow users to build and customize their own version of iconic characters like Batman and Superman.
The final game will include a cinematic story and new villains like Atrocitus and Gorilla Grodd.
Nintendo Co. Ltd. this week released Kirby: Planet Robobot for the Nintendo 3DS.
Kirby: Planet Robobot is an action platform title that includes new Robobot armor to allow Kirby to shape-shift into different modes by scanning enemies.
The final game includes Team Kirby Clash, a new 4-player brawl in which users choose from classes and level up.
