Sony Corp. this week said it will release an updated version of the Playstation 4 console that will include enhanced graphics and 4K resolution support.

The Financial Times this week reported the updated PS4, code-named Neo, will be sold concurrently with the standard PS4 SKU.

In addition, the company said all or most PS4 games will support high-end PS4.

The Neo console will sell at a higher MSRP than the current PS4 hardware. It will not be showcased E3 2016 in Los Angeles.

A release date is to be determined.
