Sales for Sony Corp.’s Playstation 4 ranked as the No. 2 hardware in Japan in the latest data from the region.
Media Create Co. this month reported the PS4 sold 23,239 units between May 9 to May 15 to rank No. 2 in overall hardware sales.
It sold 24,880 units the week prior.
Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End ranked as the No. 1 software for the week selling 128,724 units.
Sony Corp. this week said it will release Gran Turismo Sport for the Playstation 4 Nov. 15.
GT Sport will include Arcade Mode, Campaign Mode, Brand Central, Sport Mode, and Livery Editor.
The final game will include 137 vehicles, 19 locations, and 27 layouts.
Pre-order customers will receive the Ford Mustang Group B Rally Car, Toyota FT-1 Vision GT Group 3, and Peugeot 908 HDi FAP LMP1.
The GT Sport Limited Edition SKU will include the GT Sport Starter Pack, $1MM Game Credit, Livery Sticker Pack, 30x PS4 GT Sport Themed Avatars, In-Game Racing Helmet, Limited Edition Steel Book and Packaging at $69.99.
Sega Corp. this week released Valkyria Chronicles Remastered to the Playstation 4.
Valkyria Chronicles is set in a fictitious continent based in 1930s Europe. It follows soldiers of the Federation’s 7th Platoon who are aided by Valkyria, an ancient race with special powers, who help turn the tide in the war against the Empire.
The strategy RPG title, previously released to the Playstation 3, includes all prior DLC – the Hard EX Mode, Edy’s Mission, Selveria’s Mission, and the Challenge of the Edy Detachment.
In addition, the title includes 1080p / 60fps graphics fidelity.
Sony this week released Wild Arms 3 for the Playstation 4 to the Playstation Network division.
The title is the Playstation 2 version upscaled to 1080p.
In addition, the title includes Trophies, Shareplay, Remote Play, Activity Feeds, and Second Screen support functionality.
It sells at $14.99.
SNK Playmore Corp. this week released the Japan Team Trailer for The King of Fighters XIV for Sony Corp.’s Playstation 4.
The trailer previews the Team Yagami including Iori, Mature, and Vice.

Media Create Co. this month said the PS Vita sold 12,299 units between May 9 and May 15 to rank as the No. 3 hardware for the week.
It sold 18,090 units the week prior.
Minecraft: PS Vita Edition ranked as the No. 8 software selling 5,693 units for the week.
Sales for Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox One hardware ranked at No. 6 in Japan in the latest retail data from the region.
Media Create Co. this month reported that the Xbox One sold 115 units between May 9 and May 15 to rank No. 6 in overall sales.
It sold 60 units the week prior.
Microsoft this week released nearly one million Xbox Live Gamertags to the service over a 24-hour period.
The Gamertags were previously registered to prior Xbox Live users whose accounts have since been inactive.
The company said Gamertag names are available in multiple categories, including Proper names, pop culture references, types of food, geography and travel, science and technology, math and numbers, animals, and inventions.
Access to the new Gamertags will be available through Xbox.com, the Xbox App via Windows 10, and the Xbox One console.
Bandai Namco America Inc. this week said it will release Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 in 2016.
Developed by DIMPS, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, will include enhanced graphics, new character customization options, new features and special upgrades.

Microsoft this week released the Nascar Expansion Pack for Forza Motorsport 6 for the Xbox One.

Deep Silver this week released Homefront: The Revolution.
Homefront: The Revolution takes place in Occupied Philadelphia in 2029. Users must utilize ambush, sabotage, infiltration and deception to overthrow the enemy in three distinct occupied zones, including the densely populated Yellow Zone, war-ravaged Red Zone and militarized Green Zone.
Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc. this week said it will release Batman: Return to Arkham.
Batman: Return to Arkham includes Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City with remastered graphics and all previously released DLC.
It will be sold July 26.
Ubisoft Inc. this week released Update 1.2: Conflict Trailer for Tom Clancy’s The Division for Sony Corp.’s Playstation 4, Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox One, and the PC.
Update 1.2: Conflict includes a new Incursion called Clear Sky, new gear sets, weapons, and loot, new mission to take down enemy leaders, and Hijack feature.
It will be released May 24 at no cost.

Media Create Co. this month reported that the Wii U sold 3,896 units between May 9 and May 15 to rank at No. 4 in overall sales.
It sold 7,224 units the week prior.
Star Fox Zero ranked as the No. 18 software for the week 2,214 units for the week.
Nintendo and Mojang AB this week released the Super Mario Mash-Up Pack for Minecraft: Wii U Edition for the Wii U.
The free game update includes new skins, Super Mario-themed pre-made world, and a set of Super Mario-themed music and item textures.
The Minecraft: Wii U Edition, to be sold June 17, will include the Super Mario Mash-Up Pack.

Media Create Co. this month said the Nintendo 3DS sold 17,595 units between May 9 and May 15 to rank as the No. 1 game hardware for the week.
The hardware sold 26,242 units the week prior.
