Nintendo Co. Ltd. this week said the mobile game Miitomo has surpassed 10 million users worldwide.

In addition, the app has initiated 300 million conversations and 20 million Miifotos.

MiitomoMiitomo allows users to design their own avatars and is said to encourage people to share things about themselves.

The title is the first of five smartphone titles to be sold in partnership DeNA Co., Ltd.

Nintendo said it will release all five titles by Mar. 2017.

In Mar. 2015, Nintendo entered a business and capital partnership with DeNA to develop and operate new game applications for mobile smart devices.

The deal will allow both companies to develop and operate new game apps based on Nintendo’s IP, including game characters, for smart devices.

The titles are said to compliment current console and handheld games, as opposed to porting titles from the Wii U or Nintendo 3DS.

A new membership service called Nintendo Account, a cloud-based data service to connect hardware, PC, and mobile device accounts, will be used to transfer data between hardware.
