Media Create Co. this month reported the PS4 sold 28,370 units between Mar. 14 to Mar. 20 to rank No. 1 in overall hardware sales.
It sold 27,341 units the week prior.
Tom Clancy’s The Division ranked as the No. 3 software for the week selling 103,833 for the week.
The Playstation VR Launch Bundle sold out this week at retailer Amazon.com post pre-order availability of the bundle SKU.
This week, the Playstation VR Launch Bundle held a sold out status at Amazon.com’s Video Games division. The bundle sold out within 30 minutes of availability Mar. 22. A restock sold out Mar. 24.
The bundle includes the Playstation VR headset, PS VR cables, Stereo Headphones, Playstation VR Demo Disc, Playstation Camera, 2 Playstation Move Controllers, and the Playstation VR Worlds disc at $499.
Sony next week will begin pre-order sales for the Playstation VR Core Bundle Mar. 29.
The Playstation VR Core Bundle will include the Playstaton VR headset, PS VR cables, Stereo Headphones and Demo Disc at $399.
Sony this week released the Heads or Tails Trailer Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End for the Playstation 4.
The trailer features Nathan Drake and his internal struggle to have a normal life while searching for treasure.
Telltale Games and Mojang AB this week said Minecraft: Story Mode Episode 5 – Order Up! will be sold Mar. 29.
In addition, post-season episodes 6, 7 and 8 will be released in 2016.
FromSoftware this month released the Accursed Trailer for Dark Souls III.
The trailer previews the story and action from the final game.
Developed by FromSoftware, Dark Souls III will include large location in an interconnected world with trademark beasts, traps, secrets and high difficulty.
Gearbox Software this week said it will release the Open Beta for Battleborn for the Playstation 4 Apr. 8.
The Open Beta will be held between Apr. 8 and Apr. 18 and include 25 characters in Story Mode and Competitive Multiplayer.
Users who participate in the Open Beta will receive the Battleborn DLC Pack 1 at no cost.
Battleborn, to be sold May 3, is a first-person shooter that includes a single-player or co-op story mode.

Sales for Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox One hardware ranked at No. 6 in Japan in the latest retail data from the region.
Media Create Co. this month reported that the Xbox One sold 91 units between Mar. 14 and Mar. 20 to rank No. 6 in overall sales.
It sold 77 units the week prior.
Microsoft this week released the Mar. Update to Xbox One.
The update includes the ability to allow users to download backwards compatible Xbox 360 titles to the Xbox One.
Current backwards compatibility functionality allows Xbox One owners to utilize their Xbox 360 retail discs to download the software to their Xbox One and play natively on the hardware.
In addition, the update allows Party Chat in Twitch broadcasts, customizable DVR recording length, video playback direct to the Xbox One Activity Feed, 16-person Party Chat, Xbox 360 Achievements in Xbox One and Xbox app Activity Feeds, reputation rating interface changes, and Xbox One Elite Controller improved thumbstick performance.

The trailer previews shooting gameplay, dogfight battles, and extra missions that expand The Force Awakens plotline.
The title, to be sold June 28, will include brand new game mechanics to build, battle and fly. In addition, the title will include new story content to provide added insight about the film and characters.
Sales for Nintendo Co.’s Wii U hardware ranked fourth in Japan in the latest sales data for the region.
Media Create Co. this month reported that the Wii U sold 12,998 units between Mar. 14 and Mar. 20 to rank at No. 4 in overall sales.
It sold 4,629 units the week prior.
Pokkén Tournament ranked as the No. 2 software for the week selling 69,675 units at launch.
Nintendo will end production of the Wii U console this year in a report by Nikkei Asian Review.
The report claims the some system components have already been discontinued.
Nintendo this week refuted the report and told publication IT Media that Wii U production is scheduled to continue.
