NPD Group Inc. this week said Take Two Interactive Software, Inc. and Rockstar Games’ Grand Theft Auto V for Sony Corp.’s Playstation 4, Playstation 3, Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox One, Xbox 360, and the PC ranked in the top three software sales in Jan. 2016 at U.S. retail.

Grand Theft Auto V includes updated graphics and sound, new weapons, vehicles, and activities, denser traffic, additional wildlife, new foliage system, enhanced damage and weather effects, and enhanced radio selections.
Online multiplayer is increased to 30 users in the PS4 and Xbox One SKUs.
In addition, the title includes functionality to allow Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 users to transfer online data and progress to the PS4 or Xbox One.
Grand Theft Auto V is set in a present-day Southern California location and is the largest and most thriving world in the city of Los Santos.
Take Two Interactive Software in Aug. 2015 said Grand Theft Auto V has sold in 54 million units to global retail.
