Microsoft Corp. this week previewed the Overworld Update to Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition and Minecraft: Pocket Edition.

The Overworld Update will include additional redstone components like comparators, repeaters, dispensers, droppers, hoppers and trapped chests.

Additional components include slime blocks, wearable pumpkins, red sandstone and improved chicken jockey mobs.

Witch huts will include a randomly generated potion and users can display their loot in Item Frames.

Finally, the update includes the option to import and export maps to the Windows 10 Beta Edition.

The update will be released at the end of Feb.

MinecraftMinecraft: Windows 10 Edition Beta includes eight-player local and online craft functionality, multiple input support, and GameDVR functionality to record and share gameplay.

The final game includes cross-platform multiplayer for up to five players on a local network between Minecraft: Pocket Edition and Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition Beta, in addition to five player online functionality to the Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition Beta via Xbox Live.

Minecraft PC owners can download the Windows 10 Edition Beta at no cost.
