Media Create Co. this month reported the PS4 sold 24,441 units between Jan. 18 to Jan. 24 to rank No. 2 in overall hardware sales.
It sold 25,592 units the week prior.

Sony this week previewed free Playstation 4, Playstation 3 and PS Vita titles for Playstation Plus members to the Playstation Network division for Feb. 2016.

Sega Corp. this week said it will release Valkyria Chronicles Remastered to the Playstation 4 this spring.
Valkyria Chronicles is set in a fictitious continent based in 1930s Europe. It follows soldiers of the Federation’s 7th Platoon who are aided by Valkyria, an ancient race with special powers, who help turn the tide in the war against the Empire.
The strategy RPG title, previously released to the Playstation 3, will include all prior DLC – the Hard EX Mode, Edy’s Mission, Selveria’s Mission, and the Challenge of the Edy Detachment.
SNK Playmore Corp. this week released the 5th Teaser Trailer for The King of Fighters XIV for Sony Corp.’s Playstation 4.
The trailer previews Benimaru Nikaido and Robert Garcia.
The King of Fighters XIV will include three vs. three team matches and 50 new and veteran characters.
The final game will include online versus functionality.
Capcom Co.’s Resident Evil Origins for the Playstation 4 ranked in the top five software sales in Japan at launch.
Media Create Co. this week said the Resident Evil Origins PS4 SKU ranked as the No. 5 software between Jan. 18 and Jan. 24 selling 21,015 units at launch.
Resident Evil Origins includes Resident Evil Zero and Resident Evil HD remaster SKUs at $39.99.
Bandai Namco Games America Inc. this week released the Nina Williams Trailer for Tekken 7: Fated Retribution to Sony Corp.’s Playstation 4.
The trailer previews the trademark franchise character in battle.
Tekken 7: Fated Retribution, currently in development for next-generation hardware, is the next installment in the trademark fighting franchise.
Activision Blizzard Inc. this week said it will release Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan this summer.
Developed by Platinum Games, the action title will include online four-player co-op functionality and feature trademark characters like foot soldiers, Bebop, Rocksteady and Shredder.
Ubisoft Inc. this week released the Multiplayer Beta for Tom Clancy’s The Division.
The beta is closed and requires pre-order or registration for access.
The Division, to be sold Mar. 8, is a third-person action shooter that features an open world, multiple objectives, drop-in, drop-out co-op functionality and dynamic online head-to-head battles.

Media Create Co. this month reported that the Xbox One sold 52 units between Jan. 18 and Jan. 24 to rank No. 6 in overall sales.
It sold 99 units the week prior.
Microsoft this week previewed Xbox Live Games with Gold for the Xbox One and the Xbox 360 in Feb. 2016.
In Feb., the Xbox One will offer Hand of Fate from Feb. 1st to the 29th and Styx: Master of Shadows from Feb. 16th to Mar. 15th.
The Xbox 360 will offer Sacred Citadel Feb. 1st to the 15th and Gears of War 2 Feb. 16th to the 29th.

Mighty No. 9 is a 2D side-scrolling action title developed by Comcept and Intl Creates and produced by Keiji Inafune.

Splatoon ranked as the No. 8 best-selling software for the week. It has sold 1.21 million copies in the region.
Square Enix Holdings Co. this week released Final Fantasy Tactics Advance to the Wii U Virtual Console division.
Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, released to the Game Boy Advance in 2003, is a tactical strategy RPG that includes four mission types and 34 jobs.
It sells at $7.99.
Nintendo Co. Ltd. this month released the Adventuring with amiibo Trailer for The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD for the Wii U.
The trailer previews amiibo functionality in the title.
The Wolf Link amiibo, included in the retail SKU, will unlock the Cave of Shadows, a new bonus dungeon. When the dungeon is completed, users can save their hearts to the amiibo and use their hearts in the Cave of Shadows to replenish life energy.

Rise of the Tomb Raider is a sequel the Tomb Raider reboot released in 2014. It will be sold exclusively for the Xbox One in holiday 2015.
The title includes environmental puzzles, perilous environments, and gear, weapon and ammo customization.
