Microsoft Corp. this week said Xbox 360 backwards compatible titles for the Xbox One will be released when they are available once each title has received engineering and publishing approval.

Previously, the company released a catalog of backward compatible titles in a monthly launch.

New backward compatible titles available this week include The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, Sam & Max Save The World, Aegis Wing, Counter-Strike: GO, Age of Booty, Space Giraffe, Soulcalibur, Skullgirls, Jeremy McGrath’s Offroad, and Small Arms.

The backwards compatibility function allows Xbox One owners to utilize their Xbox 360 retail discs to download the software to their Xbox One and play natively with new Xbox One functionality.
