Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment this week announced DLC exclusives for LEGO Marvel’s Avengers for the Playstation 4.

The PS4 and PS3 SKUs will include free downloads of the Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War Character Pack and the Marvel’s Ant-Man Character & Level Pack.

The Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War Character Pack will include nine playable characters – Agent 13, Black Panther, Captain America, Crossbones, Falcon, Iron Man, Scarlet Witch, War Machine, and Winter Soldier.

The Marvel’s Ant-Man Character & Level Pack will include the Theatrical-Based Level, Ant-Man, Yellowjacket, Hope Van Dyke, Hank Pym, Cassie Lang, Scott Lang, Darren Cross, Luis, Ant-Man, The Wasp, and Ant-Thorny.

The DLC will be available at no cost for a limited time.

Sony this week began holding the Essentials Sale for the Playstation 4, Playstation 3 and the PS Vita in the Playstation Network division.

The Essentials Sale discounts select PS4, PS3, and PS Vita titles by up to 75 percent and up to 80 percent for Playstation Plus members.

Discounted titles include Dragon Age: Inquisition Deluxe Edition, Mass Effect Trilogy, and Persona 4 Golden.

Atlus USA Inc. this week said it will release Odin Sphere Leifthrasir to the Playstation 4, Playstation 3, and PS Vita June 7.

The 2D action RPG will include HD graphics, expanded worlds, new monsters, voiced story scenes, and fine-tuned combat.

The final game will be sold at physical and digital retail.

The Storybook Edition will include the PS4 game, 64-page Hardcover Art Book, Potion Recipe T-Shirt, Premium Outer Box, Metal Slipcase, and Mystery Art Print at $79.99.

Microsoft Corp. this week released the Xbox One 1TB Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege Bundle at U.S. retail.

Deep Silver this week said it will release Homefront: The Revolution for the Xbox One May 17 to U.S. retail.

Homefront: The Revolution will take place in Occupied Philadelphia in 2029. Users must utilize ambush, sabotage, infiltration and deception to overthrow the enemy in three distinct occupied zones, including the densely populated Yellow Zone, war-ravaged Red Zone and militarized Green Zone.

4J Studios’ Minecraft for Sony Corp.’s Playstation 4, Playstation 3, Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox One, and Xbox 360 ranked in the top 10 best-selling software in Dec. 2015 figures.

In data by NPD Group Inc., Minecraft ranked as the No. 10 best-selling software in Dec. across all platforms.

Square Enix Holdings Co. Ltd. this week said Hitman will be sold in episodic format Mar. 11.

The Intro Pack will include the Prologue and Paris levels at $15. Each subsequent location will be sold at $10 each.

The Full Experience will be sold at $60 and include all content as it is released.

The entire season will conclude later in 2016.

A retail disc version will be sold in late 2016.

Nintendo Co. this week deployed Wii U Software Update 5.5.1. to hardware owners.

The update is said to improve system stability.

Nintendo this week said Super Mario Maker for the Wii has sold more than 1 million units at U.S retail.

The figure includes combined retail and digital sales.

Nintendo this week released Metroid: Zero Mission to the Wii U Virtual Console division.

The action platform title, released to the Game Boy Advance in 2004, is a remake of the first entry that includes Samus Aran and the battle to destroy Mother Brain.

Through Jan. 21, customers will receive 30 percent off select titles for the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS.

Eligible titles include Injustice: Gods Among Us (Wii U) and Star Fox 64 3D (Nintendo 3DS).
