Mojang AB’s Minecraft: PS Vita Edition for Sony Corp.’s Playstation Vita ranked in the latest top 10 software sales from Japan in Dec.
Media Create Co. this week said Minecraft: PS Vita Edition ranked as the No. 7 software, selling 62,000 units for the week.
The title includes four-player split-screen local multiplayer and eight player online multiplayer functionality.
Minecraft: PS Vita Edition features Cross Buy and Cross Save support for the Minecraft: PS3 Edition.
In addition, owners can upgrade to the Minecraft: Playstation 4 Edition for $4.99.
Minecraft is a translation of the sandbox simulation title.
It includes a new training mode that guides new users into the crafting process. In addition, a new console-friendly crafting interface allow users to see exactly which materials are needed to craft each item.
In the title, users can craft and build items by chopping world items like trees, rocks, and sand to build an array of tools, fuel, and materials. Tools can be used to craft materials faster, fuel can heat items to form new product or food from the furnace, and materials can be used to build a shelter to keep safe from monsters.
