Sales for Sony Corp.’s Playstation 4 ranked as the No. 4 hardware in Japan in the latest data from the region.

Media Create Co. this month reported the PS4 sold 46,749 units between Dec. 14 to Dec. 21 to rank No. 4 in overall hardware sales.

It sold 38,497 units the week prior.

Fallout 4 ranked as the No. 3 best-selling software for the week 123,018 units at launch.

Sony this week said it will release Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End for the Playstation 4 Apr. 26, 2016.

It was previously scheduled to be sold Mar. 18, 2016.

The developer Naughty Dog cited additional development time for the title.

Sony this week began holding a Flash Sale for the Playstation 4, Playstation 3, and PS Vita at the Playstation Network.

The Flash Sale discounts titles for the PS4, PS3 and PS Vita, including Need for Speed PS4 at $24.00, Batman Arkham Knight PS4 at $25.00, Transformers: Devastation PS3 at $24.50, and LEGO Jurassic World PS Vita at $10.00.

The sale is valid through Dec. 28.

Sony this week released Fantavision for the Playstation 4 to the Playstation Network division.

Fantavision, released for the Playstation 2 in 2000, is a fireworks simulation puzzle title.

The final game includes a two-player versus mode.

Sony this week began holding the Holiday Sale Week 3 promotion for the Playstation 4, Playstation 3, and PS Vita at the Playstation Network division.

The sale discounts titles up to 75 percent off and up to 80 percent off for Playstation Plus members.

Discounted titles include Call of Duty: Black Ops III, Destiny: The Taken King, Dragon Ball Xenoverse, and Samurai Warriors IV.

Bandai Namco Games America Inc. this week said it will release Tales of Berseria for Sony Corp.’s Playstation 4 and the PC.

Tales of Berseria is an RPG in the Tales franchise that includes an all-new story. It features Velvet, a new protagonist who encounters a traumatic experience three years prior.

The final game will include a new cast of characters from veteran ‘Tales of’ character designers.

Bandai Namco Games America Inc. this week said it will release JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Eyes of Heaven exclusively for the Playstation 4.

Developed by CyberConnect2, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Eyes of Heaven is a two-versus-two 3D fighting title that includes characters from the JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure anime and manga series.

The final game will include more than 50 characters each with signature attacks and four-player online matches.

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC Entertainment this week released Dec. DLC for Batman: Arkham Knight.

Dec. DLC includes the Season of Infamy: Most Wanted Expansion with four separate missions that feature The Mad Hatter, Killer Croc, Ra’s Al Ghul and Mr. Freeze.

Free updates include the Batsuit v8.05 – Prestige Edition, Classic Harley Quinn Skin, and Arkham Knight Skin.

Sales for the PS Vita ranked as the No. 4 video game hardware in Japan in the latest retail data from the region.

Media Create Co. this month said the PS Vita sold 53,123 units between Dec. 14 and Dec. 20 to rank as the No. 4 hardware for the week.

It sold 35,909 units the week prior.

Minecraft: PS Vita Edition ranked as the No. 11 best-selling software for the week.

Devolver Digital this week released Hatoful Boyfriend: Holiday Star for the Playstation 4 and PS Vita.

The title is a remastered holiday-themed release sequel that includes new chickadees and winter locations.

Hatoful Boyfriend is an interactive digital novel that includes a human teenage girl attends St. PigeoNation, a high school attended by birds.

The PS4 and PS Vita SKU includes HD graphics, a new romance option, and brand new ending.

Bandai Namco Games America Inc. this week said it will release Mobile Suit Gundam: Extreme Vs. Force for Sony Corp.’s PS Vita.

Mobile Suit Gundam Extreme Vs. Force is a third-person action title that includes two-versus-two team battles.

The final game will include single-player and local multiplayer mode to command team of six Mobile Suits and one battleship in third-person or overhead tactical views.

It will be sold in 2016.

Sales for Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox One hardware ranked at No. 6 in Japan in the latest retail data from the region.

Media Create Co. this month reported that the Xbox One sold 512 units between Dec. 14 and Dec. 20 to rank No. 6 in overall sales.

It sold 619 units the week prior.

The Fallout 4 Xbox One SKU ranked as the No. 45 best-selling software for the week at launch.

Microsoft this week previewed Xbox Live Games with Gold for the Xbox One and the Xbox 360 in Jan.

In Jan., the Xbox One will offer Killer Instinct: Season 1 Ultra Edition from Jan. 1st to 31st and Zheros from Jan. 16th to Feb. 15th.

The Xbox 360 will offer DiRT Showdown Jan. 1st to the 15th and Deus Ex: Human Revolution Jan. 16th to the 31st.

Microsoft this week began holding a new sale that discounts Xbox One and Xbox 360 digital games, and Movies & TV content.

Through Jan. 7, customers can purchase Xbox One and Xbox 360 digital games at 40 to 60 percent off and discounted Movies & TV content.

Xbox Live Gold members will save an additional 10 percent off their total purchase.

Sales for Nintendo Co.’s Wii U hardware ranked second in Japan in the latest sales data for the region.

Media Create Co. this month reported that the Wii U sold 47,890 units between Dec. 14 and Dec. 20 to rank at No. 2 in overall sales.

It sold 32,604 units the week prior.

Splatoon ranked as the No. 5 best-selling software for the week.

The Nintendo 3DS ranked as the No. 1 hardware in Japan in the latest sales data from the territory.

Nintendo this week released the software update to Super Mario Maker for the Wii U.

The free software update will includes new items like the Fire Koopa Clown Car, P Warp Doors and Bumper. In addition, pages will display the World Record for each course uploaded, and a web portal called Super Mario Maker Bookmark will allow users to bookmark courses from a computer, tablet, or mobile device for play later.


Media Create Co. this month said the Nintendo 3DS sold 114,115 units between Dec. 14 and Dec. 20 to rank as the No. 1 game hardware for the week.

The hardware sold 112,828 units the week prior.

Mixi’s Monster Strike ranked as the No. 1 software for the week selling 437,903 units at launch.

Nintendo this week released Super Mario Galaxy for the Wii to the Wii U Virtual Console division.

Super Mario Galaxy includes Wii Remote and Nunchuk functionality to control Mario in anti-gravity levels.

The title sells at $19.99 at the Nintendo eShop.

Nintendo this week said released new DLC for Puzzle & Dragons Z + Puzzle & Dragons Super Mario Bros. Edition for the Nintendo 3DS.

The free update includes new Mario and Luigi Leaders, new Transformations, new Allies, updated Score Attack challenges, and new Free Challenges.
