Sales for Sony Corp.’s Playstation 4 ranked as the No. 2 hardware in Japan in the latest data from the region.

Media Create Co. this month reported the PS4 sold 26,598 units between Nov. 23 to Nov. 29 to rank No. 2 in overall hardware sales.

It sold 29,052 units the week prior.

Call of Duty: Black Ops III ranked as the No. 10 software for the week in the region.

Sony this week released the Multiplayer Beta for Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End for the Playstation 4.

The Multiplayer Beta, from Dec. 4 to Dec. 13, is available to customers who purchase Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection.

The Multiplayer Beta is a 7GB download and allows users to test the multiplayer component and online infrastructure.

Sony this week said it will sell two Playstation 4 bundles at under $300 in Dec. at U.S. retail.

From Dec. 6 to Dec. 19, the PS4 Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection Bundle and the PS4 500GB Star Wars Battlefront Bundle will sell at $299.99.

Both bundles typically sell at $349.99 each.

Sony this week said Amplitude for the Playstation 4 and the Playstation 3 will be released to the Playstation Network division Jan. 5.

The title, previously released to the Playstation 2, includes high-definition graphics and new tracks.

The music title includes a single-player campaign and local co-op and competitive modes. The final game includes more than 30 tracks.

Sony this week released the Dec. update for DriveClub for the Playstation 4.

Update 1.25 is a .4GB download that includes Easy difficulty for all Tours, Vehicle Customization slots from 4 to 16, five new Driver Levels, five new Elite Levels, five new Club Levels, and general improvements to performance, stability and usability.

Sales for the PS Vita ranked as the No. 4 video game hardware in Japan in the latest retail data from the region.

Media Create Co. this month said the PS Vita sold 15,390 units between Nov. 23 and Nov. 29 to rank as the No. 4 hardware for the week.

It sold 12,841 units the week prior.

The hardware ranked two titles in the top 10, including Hyperdimension Neptunia Vs. Sega Hard Girls: Yume no Gattai Specialat No. 6 and Criminal Girls 2 # at No. 8.

Sales for Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox One hardware ranked at No. 6 in Japan in the latest retail data from the region.

Media Create Co. this month reported that the Xbox One sold 591 units between Nov. 23 and Nov. 29 to rank No. 6 in overall sales.

It sold 889 units the week prior.

Microsoft this week said sales for the Xbox One increased 22 percent in the Black Friday shopping session.

The company said the sales increase marked the second biggest Black Friday week in the 15 years of Xbox console sales in the U.S.

The Xbox One 500GB Gears of War: Ultimate Edition Bundle was the best-selling Xbox One bundle this holiday.

The company price cut the bundle to $299.99 from $349.99 during Black Friday week.

Microsoft this week released the HCS Premium REQ Pack for Halo 5: Guardians for the Xbox One.

The HCS Premium REQ Pack is a free limited download that includes Halo Championship Series themed Assault Rifle and Magnum weapon skins, Helmet, Armor, and Emblem for use in Warzone and Arena.

It is available through 12PM PST Dec. 6, 2015.

Microsoft Corp. this week released the Mobil 1 Car Pack for Forza Motorsport 6 for the Xbox One.

The Mobil 1 Car Pack includes the 2015 Koenigsegg One:1, 2016 Mercedes-AMG C63 S Coupé, 1990 Chevrolet #30 Douglas Shierson Racing Lola T90/00, 1963 Ferrari 250LM, 1988 Holden VL Commodore Group A SV, 1991 Mazda #62 Mazda Motorsport RX-7, and 1958 Plymouth Fury.

The DLC sells at $6.99.

Microsoft this released Shadow Jago to Killer Instinct for the Xbox One.

The character is available to Day One Xbox Live Gold users or Community Fund Bundle purchasers.

It will be sold separately between Dec. 18 and Jan. 18, 2016.

Square Enix Holdings Co. this week released Just Cause 3 to U.S. retail.

Developed by Avalanche Studios, Just Cause 3 is an open-world action sequel that includes new subterranean caverns and signature items like the grappling hook and parachute.

Ubisoft Inc. this week released Rainbow Six Siege to U.S. retail.


Rainbow Six Siege includes tactical environmental destruction, hostage situations, breach and stronghold tactics.

In addition, the title includes a single-player offline mode, co-op functionality and Hostage Rescue multiplayer mode.

The final game features multiplayer options, including a five vs. five mode to infiltrate and rescue or threaten and defend.

Sales for Nintendo Co.’s Wii U hardware ranked fourth in Japan in the latest sales data for the region.

Media Create Co. this month reported that the Wii U sold 20,256 units between Nov. 23 and Nov. 29 to rank at No. 4 in overall sales.

It sold 14,684 units the week prior.

Splatoon ranked as the No. 3 best-selling software for the week in the region.

Nintendo this week released Xenoblade Chronicles X for the Wii U to U.S. retail.

Xenoblade Chronicles X is an action RPG developed by Monolith Soft.

The final game includes a massive world, online multiplayer, and mobile robot vehicles called Skells.

Nintendo will begin production of the NX console in the second quarter of 2016 according to a new report.

DigiTimes this week reported the NX is estimated to enter mass production in Q2 2016. Component suppliers estimate shipments of 10 to 12 million units.

In addition, the company this week said the new NX console is not the next version of the Wii or Wii U.

Company president Tatsumi Kimishima told Time that it is not building the next version of the motion-sensitive or GamePad-based predecessor.

Nintendo this week said Atlus Inc.’s Trauma Team is now available for the Wii U Virtual Console.

Trauma Team is a 1-2 player title that allows users to review patient cases and take the role of six different medical professionals.

The final game utilizes the Wii Remote and Wii Nunchuk to perform actions in the operating room.

It sells at $19.99.

The Nintendo 3DS ranked as the No. 1 hardware in Japan in the latest sales data from the territory.

Media Create Co. this month said the Nintendo 3DS sold 131,023 units between Nov. 23 and Nov. 29 to rank as the No. 1 game hardware for the week.

The hardware sold 35,724 units the week prior.

Capcom Co.’s Monster Hunter X ranked as the No. 1 software for the week selling 1.48 million units at launch.
