Nintendo Co. this month said it will release Star Fox Zero for the Wii to U.S. retail Apr. 22.
The title was previously scheduled to be sold Nov. 20. It was later delayed to spring 2016.
The company cited additional development time for two-screen gameplay, level design polish and cut scene work.
The title will include Wii U GamePad functionality that utilizes the gyroscope to view around the cockpit and second screen function to shoot in first-person.
The final game will utilize classic controls with one button firing, Arwing transformation, and barrel rolls.
