Microsoft Corp. this week launched the Xbox 360 backwards compatibility function for the Xbox One.

The backwards compatibility function allows Xbox One owners to utilize their Xbox 360 retail discs to download the software to their Xbox One and play natively with new Xbox One functionality.

A total of 104 titles will be available Nov. 12, including Fallout 3, Gears of War 3, Borderlands, Assassin’s Creed II, Just Cause 2, Mass Effect.
