Sales for Sony Corp.’s Playstation 4 ranked as the No. 1 hardware in Japan in the latest data from the region.
Media Create Co. this month reported the PS4 sold 22,801 units between Oct. 19 to Oct. 25 to rank No. 1 in overall hardware sales.
It sold 25,699 units the week prior.
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain ranked as the No. 13 software for the week.
Sony this week said it will release Gran Turismo Sport for the Playstation 4.
Gran Turismo Sport will include two FIA online championships, the Nations Cup to represent the home country and the Manufacturer’s Cup to drive on behalf of a car manufacturer.
The final game will include a championship reward at the FIA prize giving ceremony.
A beta will be released in spring 2016.
Sony this week released the Multiplayer Mode Trailer for Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End for the Playstation 4.
The trailer previews the multiplayer component for the title.
New systems include Sidekicks to call an AI controlled character to aid in battle; Mysticals to grant the player a unique power; and grappling hook functionality in select map locations.
The Multiplayer Beta, from Dec. 4 to Dec. 13, is available to customers who purchase Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection.
Sony this week released the Driveclub Bikes for the Playstation 4.
Driveclub Bikes includes 12 superbikes from manufacturers including Yamaha, Ducati, Kawasaki, Honda, and BMW.
In addition, the expansion includes a full Bikes Tour campaign, Unlimited Challenges, Personalized Events, Multiplayer Racing, Customization and Clubs.
It sells at $19.99 as a stand-alone title. Driveclub owners can add Driveclub Bikes at $14.99.
Sega Corp. this week released Alien: Isolation for the Playstation 4 to the Playstation Network division.
Alien: Isolation – The Collection includes the full game and seven packs of additional content.
Bandai Namco Games Inc. this week released said it will release Tekken 7 to the Playstation 4.
The title, currently in development for next-generation hardware, is the next installment in the trademark fighting franchise.
Tekken 7 will utilize the Unreal Engine 4 and be released to multiple platforms.
The final game is in development between Bandai Namco and Epic Games Japan.
Capcom Co. this week said Street Fighter V for the Playstation 4 and the PC will be sold Feb. 16, 2016 at U.S. retail.
Street Fighter V will feature cross-platform play to unite fighters into a centralized database.
The title will be released exclusively to the PS4 and the PC.
Sony this week released System Software Update v3.10 for the Playstation 4.
System Software Update v3.10 allows users to follow verified accounts of games, people and companies.
Sony this week said it will release Gravity Rush 2 for the Playstation 4 at the Playstation Network division in Feb. 2016.
Gravity Rush 2 is a third-person action title that will include new gravity styles – Normal, Lunar, and Jupiter.
Gravity styles can be switched dynamically to offer new attacks.
The final game will include a Tag Battle System to partner with an AI ally.
Gravity Rush 2 will be sold at $29.99.
Sony this week said it will release Matterfall to the Playstation 4.
Developed by Housemarque, Matterfall is a sci-fi action title that is said to incorporate agility and weaponry to combat a new threat.
The release date is to be determined.

Media Create Co. this month said the PS Vita sold units 13,763 between Oct. 19 and Oct. 25 to rank as the No. 3 hardware for the week.
It sold 15,242 units the week prior.
Minecraft: PS Vita Edition ranked as the No. 8 software for the week. It ranked at No. 9 the week prior.

Media Create Co. this month reported that the Xbox One sold 1,009 units between Oct. 19 and Oct. 25 to rank No. 6 in overall sales.
It sold 438 units the week prior.
Microsoft this week released Halo 5: Guardians for the Xbox One to U.S. retail.
Halo 5: Guardians is the next installment of the franchise to include Master Chief.
The title features a 15-level online co-op campaign and 21 multiplayer maps at launch.
Microsoft this week released the Xbox One Elite Wireless Controller to U.S. retail.
The Elite Controller includes a carrying case, a set of four paddles, a set of six thumbsticks, a set of two D-pads: faceted and standard, a USB cable, and AA batteries.
The Xbox Accessories app allows owners to customize trigger sensitivity, button mapping, and profile saves.
The controller sells at $149.99.
Microsoft this week previewed Xbox Live Games with Gold for the Xbox One and the Xbox 360 in Nov.
In Nov., the Xbox One will offer Pneuma: Breath of Life from Nov. 1st to 30th and Knight Squad from Nov. 16th to Dec. 15th.
The Xbox 360 will offer Dirt 3 Nov. 1st to the 15th and Dungeon Siege III Oct. 16th to the 30th.
Microsoft this week released the Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows 10 to U.S. retail.
The Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows 10 allows users to use their Xbox Wireless Controller on Windows 10 PCs, notebooks, and tablets.
The adapter supports up to eight wireless controllers, four chat headsets, and two stereo headsets.
It sells at $24.99.
Telltale Games and Mojang AB this week released Minecraft: Story Mode Episode Two: Assembly Required.
Minecraft: Story Mode is a five-part episodic series in which protagonist Jesse must venture to find the Order of the Stone, four legendary adventurers, to save the world from oblivion.
