Sales for Sony Corp.’s Playstation 4 ranked as the No. 1 hardware in Japan in the latest data from the region.

Media Create Co. this month reported the PS4 sold 25,699 units between Oct. 12 to Oct. 18 to rank No. 1 in overall hardware sales.

It sold 30,349 units the week prior.

Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection ranked as the No. 11 software for the week.

Sony this week said the Playstation 4 ranked as the No. 1 video game hardware at Sept. 2015 U.S. retail.

In addition, the PS4 ranked No. 1 in software sales for the month.

Finally, the Playstation 4 has sold nine million units in the U.S. in new data by NPD Group Inc.

Bandai Namco Games America Inc. this week released Tales of Zestiria for the Playstation 4 and Playstation 3.

Tales of Zestiria is an action RPG that includes the Fusion Battle System to fuse two characters in battle and large field exploration.

Konami Corp. this week released new DLC for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.

DLC includes seven costumes and the Costume & Tack Pack Bundle.

Costumes include the Fatigue, Sneaking Suit, Tuxedo, and Parade Tack. Each costume sells at $0.99.

The Costume & Tack Pack includes all seven costumes at $4.99.

Activision Blizzard Inc.’s Transformers Devastation is a solid brawler that combines Generation 1 characters and fluid fights for an in intense robot bash in a FINAL Review.

Sales for the PS Vita ranked as the No. 3 video game hardware in Japan in the latest retail data from the region.

Media Create Co. this month said the PS Vita sold 15,242 units between Oct. 12 and Oct. 18 to rank as the No. 3 hardware for the week.

It sold 15,038 units the week prior.

Minecraft: PS Vita Edition ranked as the No. 9 software for the week selling.

Sales for Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox One hardware ranked at No. 6 in Japan in the latest retail data from the region.

Media Create Co. this month reported that the Xbox One sold 438 units between Oct. 12 and Oct. 18 to rank No. 6 in overall sales.

It sold 224 units the week prior.

Xbox hardware revenue declined 17 percent in the first quarter due to lower Xbox 360 sales volume.

Microsoft this week released the Xbox One Halo 5: Guardians Limited Edition 1TB Bundle to U.S. retail.

The bundle includes a custom designed Xbox One 1TB console with custom sound effects, custom Xbox One Wireless Controller, and Halo 5: Guardians with Steel Book case at $499.99.

Microsoft this week previewed Spartan Companies Halo 5: Guardians for the Xbox One.

Spartan Companies is a new feature to Halo Waypoint that will allow users to create or join a group to meet and play with.

Users can be part of one company of up to 100 members and receive access to private online forums to schedule or discuss matchups.

Microsoft this week it will release the Halo 5: Guardians to Minecraft: Xbox One Edition and Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition.

The free update is part of the Minecraft: Halo Edition mash-up pack which includes a Halo-themed texture set, themed menus and user interface, craft-able items and 31 music tracks from the Halo franchise.

It sells at $3.99.

Sales for Nintendo Co.’s Wii U hardware ranked fourth in Japan in the latest sales data for the region.

Media Create Co. this month reported that the Wii U sold 11,658 units between Oct. 12 and Oct. 18 to rank at No. 4 in overall sales.

It sold 11,594 units the week prior.

Super Mario Maker ranked as the No. 3 software for the week.

Nintendo this week said sales for the Wii U hardware in Sept. U.S. retail sales have increased compared to the month prior.

The company said Wii U sales have increased nearly 110 percent compared to the month prior.

Nintendo this week said Super Mario Maker for the Wii has sold 500,000 units at U.S. retail.

Super Mario Maker allows users to create custom Mario levels, including classic 8-bit Super Mario Bros. levels and New Super Mario Bros. U levels.

The Nintendo 3DS ranked as the No. 2 hardware in Japan in the latest sales data from the territory.

Media Create Co. this month said the Nintendo 3DS sold 24,252 units between Oct. 12 and Oct. 18 to rank as the No. 2 game hardware for the week.

The hardware sold 23,566 units the week prior.

Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer ranked as the No. 6 software for the week.

Nintendo this week released the Yo-kai Watch Demo Version for the Nintendo 3DS at the Nintendo eShop division.

The Demo Version previews the final game to battle and befriend Yo-kai to form a team and battle troublemaking Yo-kai.

Yo-kai Watch, to be sold Nov. 6, is a role-playing title in which a boy receives a special watch that allows him to summon and fight other Yo-kai.

Nintendo this week released The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes for the Nintendo 3DS to U.S. retail.

In the title, users can play single-player with two paper doll figures called Doppels, or enter the online multiplayer mode with two additional players and one copy of the game.

The game includes 32 stages and 36 outfits, each with its own special abilities.
