Nintendo Co. this week said Super Mario Maker for the Wii has sold 1 million units at global retail.
In addition, users have created more than 2.2 million Super Mario courses which have been played 75 million times.
Users can utilize the Wii U GamePad and stylus to select classic Mario items like blocks, coins, Koopas, Goombas, and pipes and place them in a set level length.
Additional options include stationary placement of Koopas on specific blocks and the option to place enemies to respawn out of pipes.
At any point in Edit Mode, users can play test the customized level or switch back to edit. In addition, users can switch between classic Super Mario Bros. NES graphics or new Super Mario Bros. U graphics with no load times.
