Microsoft Corp. this week said Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition will support Oculus Rift.

Oculus Rift will allow Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition users to play in Creative or Survival Mode in full 3D.

Oculus Rift is a virtual reality head-mounted display developed by Oculus VR.

It will be sold in Q1 2016.

MinecraftMinecraft: Windows 10 Edition Beta includes eight-player local and online craft functionality, multiple input support, and GameDVR functionality to record and share gameplay.

The final game includes cross-platform multiplayer for up to five players on a local network between Minecraft: Pocket Edition and Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition Beta, in addition to five player online functionality to the Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition Beta via Xbox Live.

Minecraft PC owners can download the Windows 10 Edition Beta at no cost.
