Sales for Sony Corp.’s Playstation 4 ranked as the No. 1 hardware in Japan in the latest data from the region.

Media Create Co. this month reported the PS4 sold 18,555 units between Sept. 7 to Sept. 13 to rank No. 2 in overall hardware sales.

It sold 54,720 units the week prior.

The Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain PS4 SKU ranked as the No. 3 software for the week selling 42,788 units for the week.

Sony this week released the Playstation 4 500GB Destiny: The Taken King Limited Edition Bundle to U.S. retail.

The bundle includes the custom Destiny PS4 500GB SKU, Destiny: The Taken King physical copy, and upgrade to the Digital Collector’s Edition at $399.99.

Activision Blizzard Inc. released Destiny: The Taken King to U.S. retail.

Destiny: The Taken King includes a brand new campaign, new abilities, new locations, level cap increase, new gear, and new activites.

The PS4 SKU offers exclusive day one content.

Sony this week said it will release Bloodborne The Old Hunters for the Playstation 4 Nov. 24.

The Old Hunters is a new DLC expansion that will include a nightmare world where hunters from the past are trapped in brand new stages against new beasts.

The digital download will sell at $24.99.

Square Enix Holdings Co. and Disney Interactive Studios Inc. this week said it will release Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue to the Playstation 4.

Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue is a compilation title that will include Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance remastered in high-definition.

In addition, it will include Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth by Sleep, a brand new episode that links to Kingdom Hearts III and the Kingdom Hearts X Back Cover HD Movie that tells the story of the Foretellers.

Capcom Co. this week said it will release Umbrella Corps to Sony Corp.’s Playstation 4 and PC in early 2016.

Umbrella Corps is a third-person action shooter based in the Resident Evil universe.

The competitive online game will include quick, close-quarter matches themed in historic Resident Evil environments.

Sony this week released the Playstation 4 20th Anniversary Dualshock 4 Controller to U.S retail.

The PS4 Dualshock 4 Controller 20th Anniversary Edition sells at $64.99.

It features paint color and style similar to the 1995 Playstation console.

Sony this week said it will release Gravity Rush Remastered to the Playstation 4 Feb. 9, 2016.

Gravity Rush Remastered is an updated version of the PS Vita release that will include brand new HD graphics and all three DLC Packs.

Capcom Co. this week announced Karin to the fight roster in Street Fighter V for the Playstation 4 and the PC.

Karin was previously included in Street Fighter Alpha 3.

The heiress can execute a Meioken palm strike as a V-Skill and the Guren Ken attack as a V-Trigger.

Sales for Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox One hardware ranked at No. 6 in Japan in the latest retail data from the region.

Media Create Co. this month reported that the Xbox One sold 207 units between Sept. 7 and Sept. 13 to rank No. 6 in overall sales.

It sold 180 units the week prior.

Microsoft this week released the Xbox One 1TB Forza Motorsport 6 Bundle to U.S. retail.

The Xbox One 1TB Forza Motorsport 6 Limited Edition Bundle includes the limited edition racing-inspired console and custom engine sounds, and Forza Motorsport 6 and Forza Motorsport 6 Ten Year Anniversary Car Pack Digital Download at $399.99.

Microsoft this week released the Cinema First Look Trailer Halo 5: Guardians for the Xbox One.

The trailer previews characters and gameplay from the final game.

Halo 5: Guardians, to be sold Oct. 27, is the next installment of the franchise to include Master Chief.

EA Inc. this week released NBA Live 16 demo for the Xbox One to the Xbox Live division.

The demo features six NBA teams, LIVE Pro-Am mode, competitive LIVE Run mode, cooperative Summer Circuit mode, and customizations that can be transferred to the final game.

It is available to download at no cost.

EA Inc. this week released NHL 16 to U.S. retail.

NHL 16 includes the EA Sports Hockey League online team mode, 6 vs. 6 online team play, and online couch co-op.

Telltale Games and Mojang AB this week said it will release Minecraft: Story Mode for download Oct. 13.

Mobile SKUs for iOS and Android will be sold Oct. 15.

Minecraft: Story Mode PS4, PS3, Xbox One, and Xbox 360 retail SKUs will be sold Oct. 27 in the U.S. and Oct. 30 in Europe. The retail edition will include Episode 1 and access to download new episodes when released.

Finally, the title will be released to the PS Vita Nintendo Co.’s Wii U at a to be determined date.

Microsoft this week released the Xbox One 1TB FIFA 16 Bundle to U.S. retail.

The bundle includes the Xbox One 1TB hardware, FIFA 16 download code (playable Sept. 22), and EA Access 1-Year Subscription at $399.99.

Sales for Nintendo Co.’s Wii U hardware ranked second in Japan in the latest sales data for the region.

Media Create Co. this month reported that the Wii U sold 20,891 units between Sept. 7 and Sept. 13 to rank at No. 2 in overall sales.

It sold 10,232 units the week prior.

Super Mario Maker ranked as the No. 1 software for the week selling 138,242 units at launch.

Nintendo this week said it will release Star Fox Zero for the Wii to U.S. retail in Q1 2016

The title was previously scheduled to be sold Nov. 20.

The company cited additional development time for two-screen gameplay, level design polish and cut scene work.

Star Fox Zero will include trademark franchise flight combat action.

The title will include Wii U GamePad functionality that utilizes the gyroscope to view around the cockpit and second screen function to shoot in first-person.

The Nintendo 3DS ranked as the No. 2 hardware in Japan in the latest sales data from the territory.

Media Create Co. this month said the Nintendo 3DS sold 27,829 units between Sept. 7 and Sept. 13 to rank as the No. 2 game hardware for the week.

The hardware sold 34,756 units the week prior.

Monster Hunter Diary: Poka Poka Airu Village DX ranked as the No. 2 software for the week selling 59,456 units at launch.

Namco Bandai Entertainment America Inc. this week said it will Project X Zone 2 for the Nintendo 3DS Feb. 16, 2016.

Developed by Banpresto and Monolith Soft, Project X Zone 2 is a strategy RPG that features characters from Namco Bandai, Sega Corp., and Capcom Co. franchises.

Atlus USA Inc. this week said it will release the Stella Glow Launch Edition Nov. 17.

The Stella Glow Launch Edition will include an oversized outer box, cloth poster, music CD, character flexi-charm at $49.99.

The Launch Edition will be available to pre-order customers and in limited quantities at retail.

Stella Glow is a strategy RPG title that is said to include 40 to 60 hours of gameplay with sidequest content, New Game+ mode, and more than 50 battle maps.

Blizzard Entertainment Inc. this week said it will release Starcraft II: Legacy of the Void to the PC Nov. 11.

Starcraft II: Legacy of the Void will include a single-player story, all new cooperative modes, and competitive multiplayer gameplay.

It is the conclusion to the Starcraft saga which began in 1998.

New modes include Archon Mode for two players to share control over a single base and units to compete against an enemy duo. In addition, Co-op Missions provide two-player objective-based missions, each with unique Commander abilities.

Apple Inc. this week delayed the release of WatchOS 2 due to a bug.

The company said it discovered a bug that taking longer to fix than expected and that the OS update will be released shortly.

WatchOS 2 includes new watch faces, complications options, Time Travel to view past and future data, Maps transit information, Nightstand mode, and new native apps that run on Apple Watch hardware.
