Retailer Target Corp. this week discounted select titles for Nintendo Co.’s Wii U and the Nintendo 3DS by 30 percent in a new sales initiative.

Discounted titles include Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and Mario Kart 8 at $41.99, Mario Party 10 at $34.99, Mario Kart 7 at $20.99 and Super Smash Bros. for 3DS at $27.99.

Nintendo reported net income of $67.2 million between Apr. to June in Q1 results.

The Wii U console sold 470,000 units in Q1. Software sales held at 4.55 million.

Total Wii U sales have reached 10 million units in global markets.

The Nintendo 3DS sold 1.01 million units in the same period. 3DS software sales held at 7.92 million in the quarter.
