Capcom Co. this week said it will release Resident Evil 2 Remake to Sony Corp.’s Playstation 4, Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox One and the PC.

Yoshiaki Hirabyashi from Capcom R&D Division 1 confirmed that the title was approved for development.

In Jan. Capcom released the Resident Evil HD Remake.

The digital release includes the 2002 Resident Evil remake previously released to Nintendo Co.’s GameCub, with updated textures and 1080p high-definition graphics on next-generation consoles.

In addition, the title features 5.1 surround sound support and an option between 16:9 widescreen or 4:3 classic ratio.
