Microsoft Corp. this week previewed the Warzone multiplayer component in Halo 5: Guardians for the Xbox One.
Warzone is a brand new multiplayer mode that will combine player vs. player and player vs. AI into one 24-player match.
In the mode, the first team score 1000 points or destroy the enemy team’s core wins. Each team initially battles AI-controlled enemies and subsequently encounter a rival 12-person team to battle in addition to AI opponents.
Players must capture all three bases to expose the enemy’s core and attack it.
The REQ System will award REQ Points after each multiplayer match which can be redeemed for REQ Packs that include bundles of new weapons, vehicles, armor, skins and more.
Halo 5: Guardians, to be sold Oct. 27, is the next installment of the franchise to include Master Chief.
It is said to be larger than Halo 4, run at a 60 frames-per-second graphics fidelity, and feature dedicated servers.
Customers who purchase Halo: The Master Chief Collection will receive access to the Multiplayer Beta.
