Ubisoft Inc. this week said demonstrated Rainbow Six Siege to Sony Corp.’s Playstation 4, Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox One and the PC at the Electronic Entertainment Expo.
The video features defensive tactics including environmental destruction to defend the area.
The preview build included both Assault and Defend game in which teams of five vs. five had to infiltrate or defend to kill all enemies.
Each unit held a number of breach options from a hammer, small bombs, or structural destruction to breach fortified areas.
For defense, users could build fortification on windows, doorways or lay barbwire on the ground to protect the area.
Controls were good with higher difficulty that resulted in kickback with successive rifle fire. The graphics engine was decent between 30 and 60 frames-per second and limited detail.
Rainbow Six Siege, to be sold Oct. 13, will include tactical environmental destruction, hostage situations, breach and stronghold tactics.
The title will include a single-player mode, co-op mode, and Hostage Rescue multiplayer mode.
The final game will feature multiplayer options, including a five vs. five mode to infiltrate and rescue or threaten and defend.
