Nintendo Co. this week previewed Metroid Prime: Blast Ball for the Nintendo 3DS.
In the preview build, two teams of three battle to blast a large ball toward the opposite goal. Users move with the left analog, hold the L trigger to strafe, and hold R and tilt the handheld to aim off center.
Users can choose to focus on the ball or concentrate fire on enemy opponents which can be downed after several shots or by impact from the ball itself.
The graphics engine held steady at 30 frames-per-second with decent polygonal builds and basic color hues.
Metroid Prime: Blast Ball, to be included in Metroid Prime: Federation Force, will be sold in 2016.
