Sales for Sony Corp.’s Playstation 4 ranked as the No. 4 hardware in Japan in the latest data from the region.
Media Create Co. this month reported the PS4 sold units between May 25 and May 31 to rank No. 4 in overall hardware sales.
It sold 12,096 units the week prior.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt ranked as the No. 3 software for the week selling 22,454 units for the week.
Sony this week said it will release Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection for the Playstation 4 Oct. 9 to U.S. retail.
Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection will include Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, and Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception at 1080p resolution and 60 frames-per-second graphics fidelity.
The final compilation will include Photo Mode and new trophies.
Customers who pre-order the title at the Playstation Network will receive a PS4 Dynamic Theme.
In addition, the title will include access to the Uncharted 4 Multiplayer Beta.
Capcom Co. this week released the patch update for Ultra Street Fighter IV for the Playstation 4 to the Playstation Network.
The patch addresses several issues including reduced interface lag, disappearing projectiles, Fight Request issue in Arcade Mode, and animations and audio glitches.
Sony this week released new titles for the Playstation Now streaming service in June.
New titles include Puppeteer, Braid, Way of the Samurai 3, Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2, and Adventure Time: Explore the Dungeon Because I DON’T KNOW.
4A Games this week released demos for Metro Redux to the PS4.
The Metro 2033 Redux and Metro Last Night Redux demos each include nine chapters. Users can purchase and unlock the full version to continue play.
Sony this week said Planetside 2 for the Playstation 4 will be sold June 23.
Planetside 2 is a large-scale first-person shooter that includes infantry, air and vehicle gameplay in massive battles.
The game is a free-to-play title that does not require a Playstation Plus membership.
The PS4 version will include a new battle map.

In May, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt ranked as the No. 1 best-selling PS4 digital download software.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt includes a world 35 times larger than The Witcher 2: Assassin’s of Kings.

Media Create Co. this month said the PS Vita sold 13,046 units between May 25 to May 31 to rank as the No. 3 hardware for the week.
It sold 11,898 units the week prior.
Minecraft: PS Vita Edition ranked as the No. 5 software for the week selling 12,449 units.
Sales for Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox One hardware ranked at No. 6 in Japan in the latest retail data from the region.
Media Create Co. this month reported that the Xbox One sold 522 units between May 25 to May 31 to rank No. 6 in overall sales.
It sold 308 units the week prior.
Microsoft this month released the Halo 3: ODST component to Halo: The Master Chief Collection for the Xbox One.
The Halo 3: ODST campaign is free to consumers who purchased Halo: The Master Chief Collection between Nov. 11 and Dec. 19, 2014.
It sells separately at $4.99.
Microsoft this week released the Duracell Car Pack DLC for Forza Horizon 2 Presents Fast & Furious for the Xbox One.
The Duracell Car Pack includes the 2015 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28, 2001 Audi RS 4 Avant, 1995 BMW M5, 1991 Honda CR-X SiR, and the 1972 Mazda Cosmo Sport 110 Series II.
The Car Pack sells at $5.00.

Nintendo this week said it will release Chibi-Robo!: Zip Lash to the Nintendo 3DS.
Chibi-Robo!: Zip Lash is a side-scrolling action title in which Chibi-Robo must swing his plug to whip enemies.
The title will be sold in a stand-alone and bundle SKU that includes the Chibi-Robo amiibo. The Chibi-Robo amiibo will transform the robot into Super Chibi-Robo and can level up to acquire in-game collectible figures and items.
Chibi-Robo!: Zip Lash will be sold in Oct.
