Nintendo Co.’s Nintendo 3DS ranked as the No. 1 hardware in Japan in the latest sales data from the territory.

Media Create Co. this month said the Nintendo 3DS sold 15,257 units between May 18 and May 24 to rank as the No. 1 game hardware for the week.

The hardware sold 16,355 units the week prior.

Puzzle & Dragons Super Mario Bros. Edition ranked as the No. 3 best-selling software selling 10,876 units for the week.

For the fourth quarter, the company held revenue of $350 million and an operating profit of $250 million.

Nintendo 3DS handhelds sold 8.73 million units, a decline from 12.24 million the year prior. 3DS hardware has sold 52 million units to date.
