The data was based on figures provided by NPD Group Inc.

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment Inc.’s Mortal Kombat X for the Playstation 4 ranked as the top-selling title at the Playstation Network division in Apr.

In Apr., Mortal Kombat X ranked as the No. 1 PS4 digital download title for the month.

Sony this week said Bloodborne for the Playstation 4 ranked in the top three digital download sales at the Playstation Store in Apr.

In Apr., Bloodborne ranked as the No. 2 digital download title among all PS4 titles.

EA Inc.’s Battlefield Hardline ranked in the top three software sales in Apr. at U.S. retail.

In data by NPD Group Inc., Battlefield Hardline ranked as the No. 2 best-selling video game software across all platforms.

Sony this week released The Last of Us: Left Behind stand alone download SKU for the Playstation 4 and Playstation 3 at the Playstation Store.

The full digital single-player game with Full Factions Multiplayer and Treacherous Territories Map Pack will be sold at $39.99 for PS4 and $29.99 for PS3.

The Last of Us: Left Behind is a prequel to The Last of Us previously sold as DLC.

Square Enix Holding Co. this week released Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster Limited Edition for the Playstation 4 to U.S. retail.

Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster Limited Edition includes brand new high-definition graphics, high-definition audio, a new 30-minute audio drama, and Cross-Save functionality to the PS3 and PS Vita.

Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox One ranked as the top-selling hardware in Apr. at U.S. retail.

In data by NPD Group Inc., the Xbox One ranked as the No. 1 video game hardware for the month.

Microsoft this week released the May System Update for the Xbox One.

The May Update includes Voice Messages, Power on/off from SmartGlass, User Selectable Power Mode, and Dedicated Servers for Party Chat.

Ubisoft Inc. this week said it will release Rainbow Six Siege Oct. 13.

The first-person shooter title will include tactical environmental destruction, hostage situations, breach and stronghold tactics.

CD Projekt RED this week said pre-order sales for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt have exceeded 1 million at global retail.

Bandai Namco Games Inc. this week released Project Cars to U.S. retail.

Developed by Slightly Mad Studios, Project Cars is crowd-funded racing title that includes driver customization, motorsport selection, multiplayer online functionality, dynamic weather system, and tuning and pit stop functionality.

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night was fully funded this week at Kickstarter.

The gothic exploration action-platform title is being developed by Koji Igarashi, programmer and director of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night.

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, TT Games, The LEGO Group and Universal Partnerships & Licensing said it will release LEGO Jurassic World June 12.

LEGO Jurassic World will include all three Jurassic Park films and the latest film in the franchise, Jurassic World.

Nintendo Co. this week said it will preview Mario Maker for the Wii U in June at Best Buy Co. Inc. store locations.

Events will take place June 17 between 4 to 9PM and June 20 at 12 to 5PM at select Best Buy locations.

Attendees will receive a 30th anniversary Super Mario Bros. pin.

Mario Maker allows users to create custom Mario levels, including classic 8-bit Super Mario Bros. levels and New Super Mario Bros. U levels.

Nintendo this week said it will hold the Nintendo World Championships 2015 in Los Angeles this June to launch E3 week.

Beginning May 30, select Best Buy Co. Inc. locations in the U.S. will hold qualifying tournaments. Winners from each regional event will compete at the Nintendo World Championships 2015 at the Nokia Theatre for a multi-round competition to crown one champion.

Fans have the opportunity to attend the event which will also be broadcast online.

Nintendo this week said it will sell the Mario – Silver Edition amiibo amiibo May 29 at U.S. retail.

The Mario – Silver Edition amiibo has the same functionality as previously sold Mario amiibo and is compatible with the same titles.

It will sell at $12.99.

Nintendo’s Splatoon for the Wii U ranked as a top pre-order title at the Nintendo eShop post demo preview.

This week, Splatoon ranked as the No. 2 best-selling pre-order Wii U software at the Nintendo eShop.

Nintendo in May held the Global Testfire preview event for Splatoon for Wii U.

Wii U owners with a broadband connection could download the Splatoon Global Testfire special demo to participate in one-hour demo events.
